What do you think guys? Do you think Mods should delete dead threads.

I personally think they should, its annoying that ppl keep asking for things which no one have/wanna share.

Peace. =)

I'd rather leave them open for people to bump them if they want to discuss the topic rather than opening new threads with exact same discussion topic, same with support threads, if someone has a problem they can search for it and find a thread where someone else has the same problem and if they don't find the solution in the thread they can bump it instead of opening a new thread.

How about maps? Dead Links and such.

If the thread has a deadlink and no one uploads a mirror of it, then the thread can be closed.

but what is someone made a tutorial or something wich is posted in 2008 (example), isn't it wrong to bump a very old thread even if someone had a question about it? or someone bump it because its still usefull nowdays? or a old discussion that someone still want to discuss about?
Won't it be better that people won't cry about the huge bump or such?

It's ok to bump threads if you have smart question or you want to continue discussion. It's is wrong to bump many threads just to 'have-them-all-replied'.

Okay, for an answer, look at this little story..

1. Alex wants to make a 7.6 server.
2. Alex finds the TFS for 7.6
3. Alex wants to get some scripts for it, and help.
4. All 7.6 scripts and help is deleted b/c of the cleanup
5. A post for 7.6 help is opened (That most people don't know that there is a scripting difference between them)
6. Takes a long time to get a good answer and fix the problem.
~That could all be avoided without the cleanup.~

Who has ever done a cleanup ? We do not delete any posts without a reason.

Wouldn't be good IMO.
It's nice to see older posts, especially in Support for those who need help.

Otherwise there would be the same old topic every week with the same problem.

Search engine also picks up old threads, don't you use the Search Engine?
