Today, the new world's richest man is not Warren Buffet or Bill Gates, but he is Carlos Slim Helu and he owns a telecom company and resides in Mexico.

World's richest man in Mexico, very ironic.
 
Wikipedia shows his net worth stands at 35 Bil $ while's Bill gates stands at 50 Bil $.

Bill Gates is not the richest and never was FYI. There was some oil tycoon in Russia or something richer than him. Bill Gates was just the richest man in the US.

Actually Carlos is ranked as nr 2 richest guy in the world.. Warren Buffett is worth about 62 billion while Carlos is worth around 60.. Bill gates is worth 58 billion.. wich makes him ranked nr 3 richest guy living :)
