Small update: I have recently added a few more attributes to items that can be found. Some of these attributes are % magic power, % melee power, and % Ranged Power which depending on your vocation can boost your spells and weapon damage. These will only be added to weapons rings and amulets. As I've just stated, amulets will be able to be found as loot as well, with various special abilities. Which arises the question of Aols. Aols will not be necessary if you have blesses, if you cannot afford blesses the smarter decision may be to just get an aol.
I don't know what kind of spells you have, but for melee classes that will be wielding weapon/shield, think you will make % def increase on shields?
 
What i'll most likely do is Create the accounts for players that would like to participate in the beta. When the beta starts i want all the accounts to already be made then give players with accounts the option to choose characters or make multiple. But to answer your question it won't be an open beta, which is why right now I'm kinda checking to see who wants to get involved.

Yep. All rogue weapons are dual wield.
I know you're busy working on the server, but if you find a break in the action, think we could get a teaser of the rogue weapons like we did of the mage weapons? I'm quite excited...
 
a vocation with no attacks, just 2 shields, massive defense and shield spells for damage, boom

then you need jarx-voc, every time you mute someone you gain +10 lvls!
All your damage comes from reflecting your enemies spells... that would be badass... perfectly timed blocks would dominate.
 
Yea man stayed dedicated this time around :p Looked at all the OTs these days and couldn't enjoy any of em.
I have spent countless hours searching... Finally. Thank you for being the one guy that is willing to break down and make an OT we will all love. Everyone that ends up playing this OT, or at least everyone following it ATM, has had the thought, "there's no such thing as good OT's anymore... I should just make one... Seems like too much work. I don't have time.. Oh well, guess i wont play tibia."

Take a shit in the lava, wipe your ass on the rocks, stand on the troll. You will die from the stinch, become the troll, revealing a new area. once you go in to the new area, you loot the chests which will contain EQ/Gold and a wooden stake. walk back over to your body, use the stake on yourself as a troll and boom, back to yourself.

You could always add some sort of bounty or kill streak bonus rewards. For example, if I were to kill 5 people without dying in between, I would be worth bonus gold to people who kill me. I would still only lose 10% of the gold I'm carrying, but the gold would double due to you ending my kill streak... Also, the idea of EXP from killing someone is ALWAYS incentive for me to kill :)
Problem with the bonus gold is it could be abused among friends.
 
in any pvpe situation i think it'll always be abused by someone in some way, we talked about this early on but have you finally figured out the gold sink and the difference in pvp to non pvp since itll be 8.6 that protects botting better essentially

Well with how the gold reward for killing is setup at the moment, basically the gold just goes from one person to the other, there's no abuse, but i add a bonus, that could be abused no problem. As for gold sink, I have a couple things in place but still thinking of others as well. And there won't really be a difference in pvp or non pvp. Non pvp players wont be able to kill other and get there gold, and in regards to the botting, I'm going to be much harsher with punishments towards a non pvp botter. Botting non pvp and being caught over again will lead to being deleted.

You could add a small exp bonus from killing people, small enough that it wouldn't be worth killing a friend to get lvls off them but a little incentive for pvp. Just a thought, at some point you could create a global war system having 2 teams constantly battling it out

well you could split off certain people to be part of a group and you could control objectives and if your side won you'd have like 10% more exp for however long you set it for till another war thing happened to control the objective etc, ive played king of the hill on a few servers, kinda like that but everyone would pre pick a faction, of course there are imbalances to picking a faction but it makes it feel better to be able to pick which side you will go for, idk its completely off subject for your server at this point but something along those lines would be fun imo
