Why did the evo-ot.com thread get deleted?

You had to register through a OTLand competitor in order to play there (the site's name is blocked here) I wonder why?

seems like the answer of your question is right at the second line of your post

I realized that, still that seems odd and the fact that the forums name is blocked is also odd.

Its OP has failed with reading the sticky threads at Advertisement board, something very usual there.

Glad to hear that anyways I still don't get why v a p u s . net is blocked, wasn't OTFans blocked back in the days too?

We're not censoring websites because they are competitors. I haven't looked at a website as a competitor for years, and it's not my goal with OTLand to compete with any website. OTLand is just a community for OpenTibia, and if you prefer to use another website, please go ahead. As for why the website you're asking about is censored is because it allows users to buy/sell OpenTibia resources (see http://otland.net/threads/moving-forward.198835/, more specifically: "Advertising websites where you can buy or sell OpenTibia resources will not be tolerated."), it's easier for us to just censor the URL than manually having to remove links to the site from peoples signature etc.

It might not have been the reason why it was deleted this time, but Evo-OT will have to stop linking to that website to be welcome to advertise their server here. They are indirectly supporting trades of OpenTibia-resources.

@Mark ; So they will have to remove the V@pus forum in their website too? Cus if you click on their forum section (in evo-ot) you will find it redirecting you to v@pus...

Yes, if they want to advertise their server on OTLand.
