What happened to the Ravendawn thread?

Let's discuss this game over here on the Games forum instead.

Has anyone of you tried it? It's supposedly a "Tibia killer". I tried it but it's kinda... meh. I think it's lacking a bit of things. PvP isn't any good.

But I quite enjoy it at the same time. It's fun with some new things coming up that isn't like the rest. And I think this can drive CipSoft towards being more creative. They have been slacking for years now in terms of content and features. And if they see a game take some Tibia players I don't think they have a choice but to try fix Tibia. Competition is good.

I think it has great impact since people will google games like ravendawn and find tibia

Just a quick search on forums and Reddit and you'll see that people are loving Ravendawn (including those who have never played Tibia, which is a great achievement since they managed to break through the Open Tibia bubble.

Here at Otland, you will find few compliments about the game for just one reason: Envy.

I haven't played yet, but I wish all the best to Sir Knighter and hope that Ravendawn greatly annoys Cipsoft.
It's time for Cipsoft to act and make improvements to this game stuck in time called Tibia.

there are mods here that are part of ravendawn

good to post it here for start to get some people interested in it.
but better remove it now that its famous and there was some serious criitism and proof of disgusting behaviour from their owner, just delete it from the internet instead of it blowing up in his face

knighters whole profile removed too to clear all tracks

There's a lot of reasons why would he ask mods to delete the thread and his account
1st - He didn't want this project to be involved with OTland (which is funny because it's made of stuff added here) "propably most important reason"
2nd - There was not any feedback there (either negative which he couldn't handle or useless words like "good project good luck")
3nd - Looking at how successful the project is and the fact his thread there had only few pages he decided it's useless to keep advertising there

To remove the thread and his profile from OTLand was his own decision for reasons. Nevertheless, yeah I do play a little the game and yeah it is the greatest game of all times inspired out of open tibia.

When I requested to remove some of my old posts from over a decade ago, just to basically remove trash, I was promptly told by a moderator that no content will be removed unless it violated some OTLand rules. It's a pity that you (the moderator team of OTLand) let some people do as they wish with their content, while others are told no. And to add to that, another moderator told me to specifically "report each post" that I wanted to remove and they would take care of it. Ha, weird team running OTLand. It's a bullshit request, but nonetheless, it is pretty weird to not be able to do that stuff.

Maybe you could help me out with that? Or is it still a no to delete literal trash content from 1 to 1½ decade ago 🤔

just straight up removing a thread with thousands of replies shows how little thought mods put here. What about all the time poeple invested in making posts and talking about ravendawn ? U can atleast lcok it ?

You also dont remove threads from zbisu and nekiro and others whove requested the same thing ? Where is the logic * ?

there is difference between usefull content and advertisement.

You need a medic (thousands xD), that thread had 20-30 pages after 5-6 years there. With the request of removing thread and account they don't need to waste time there.
I don't know the case of zbizu, nekiro but i see their accounts. If knighter requested to remove HIS thread + account then why do u ask about cases of people who didn't request to delete their accounts?

Any single post without a "solution" or "correct answer" should be able to be deleted without any request at all from the OP, there is no reason at all to make them undeleteables if it doesn't help someone else, currently it's just a stupid system.

ANY post, even if it is the solution, correct answer, shared code, or whatever, should be deleted upon request. Especially when the account is being deleted, all posts should also be deleted. A deleted user's nickname is still connected to specific, not deleted posts, which is very odd.

Mods ussually look flexible at deleting content on requests. However I wish to add that premium OTLand users can delete their content on their own. Also, not in to discussing this topic further.

I don't agree with that. Anyone might ask on support board for help, feed from the community and then delete it, that doesn't looks nice to me.
Any support thread that eventually got a solution should stay there in order to help anyone who might have the same issue in this community, so you look for it in the support section instead of opening a new thread for the same issue, there is no justification to remove it. Any other kind of post yeah I agree we should be able to delete it without even asking.

Ravendawn is for sure not a "Tibia Killer"
Ravendawn is a living proof that you can do everything you want if you got a good team and ofc money money money :D
I haven't played ravendawn yet but I heard only good things about it

This game shows promise, but it lacks the unforgiving nature of Tibia that many players enjoy. It seems too focused on quests for my taste

I was watching teams battle it out on twitch the other day and noticed the same thing. It almost seemed like it was a "war server" style where they werent really losing anything and were able to go right back into battle and keep fighting. Honestly, I kind of like it - but agreed, it doesn't feel as risky.

but isnt the idea of loss stupid anyways? shouldnt the battle be faced on frags and the ttime it takes to get back to place of war considered respawn in other games? so whoever gets more frags wins war and or /rewards ? this is actually pretty nice concept since dying and losing skill multiple times in war was not only stupid and resource wastefull but also it brings it more to the skill based side since you have to try to survive and fightback in order to win and not just lose.

Only big creators deserves attention and special treatment. You are too smol, how many 7.4 ots have you opened? Does not matter.
Stop whining and know your position.
This forum should rename into Ravendawn tavern, there is no more reasons to support/advertise copy paste 7.6 craps. All of you bend the knee, here is your new king.
