Also you have the VIP island on the map but no donations/vip so you should just make it available after 200 or so for everyone.

Just advertise for the event, make a command for people to sign up or so, when the date/time comes, all goes automatic.. Splits the players into 2 or 3 teams maybe, lets them fight until one team wins.. Not everyone has a team here, and for us its really boring to just go around skullbashing or...
