player.isUsingOtClient() and checking for client os is useless, you can change one number inside otclient and it will send same info os info as regular client you should not rely on that at all to check for players using otc

Why would we move to 12.x protocol at all? We've had a good open source client for years. I don't see the point of encouraging users to move to another closed client?

one thing that you shoud look into is exp rate with parties and without having tried like every possible hunt place i can't break 13kk exph solo but with a big party i will have 40kk exph, now teamhunting is fine but when it's so much better than hunting solo i believe there is an issue i mean...

Alright, so some oldschool servers like classicus/tibianic uses custom clients. I've found their IPs and the right ports but I still can't connect via otclient and I guess it has do to with that they're using a custom version? I've copied their .dat/.spr files into things/772 and things/740 but...

Clients from remeresmapeditor.com contains exactly the same "viruses". I wouldn't worry too much. The 8.6 client there got 273080 downloads and still people use it while it got the same "viruses" as the ascalon client.
