Fish with bellsprout until u are lvl 18, save all the cash. When u are 18 buy poke balls and go catch a Magnemite, then just hunt pidgeottos untill lvl 25-30? You can make some quests to help you out example apple bite quest lost clefairy quest pot of moss bug quest etc...

Ofc it depends on what u will hunt but I suggest Mankey instead of Machop in fighting and if u need geodude for etc flying/electricity its good aswell. I dont play Jasper so I dunno how much Pidgeotto is worth but in Emerald 1.5k~ and 1.2k in npc

Hunt in rattats untill u get 30 apple bites then go to Celadon and make the apple bite quest and u will receive around 400dollars not sure thought, that will be a nice start then just try to catch Bellsprout and fish until u are lvl 18, Then catch magnemite and go Pidgeottos:D
