I think you used fraps and tryed to record a movie?

Fraps does 15 - 35 fps, and it dosn't compress it at all, you will have to use etc windows movie maker to compress the clip.

checked and my avi:s are pretty big too...
I guess its bc you should be able to record high definition for Hd movies or dvds and if you just want to make youtube movie you can use a program to get smaller files...
