Some easy effects for your website. Enjoy, i'll upload more by the time...

Shaking image!

Step 1: Insert the below into the <head> section of your page (normally in layout.php):

Code:
<style>
.shakeimage{
position:relative
}
</style>
<script language="JavaScript1.2">

/*
Shake image script (onMouseover)-
© Dynamic Drive (www.dynamicdrive.com)
For full source code, usage terms, and 100's more DHTML scripts, visit http://dynamicdrive.com
*/

//configure shake degree (where larger # equals greater shake)
var rector=3

///////DONE EDITTING///////////
var stopit=0
var a=1

function init(which){
stopit=0
shake=which
shake.style.left=0
shake.style.top=0
}

function rattleimage(){
if ((!document.all&&!document.getElementById)||stopit==1)
return
if (a==1){
shake.style.top=parseInt(shake.style.top)+rector+"px"
}
else if (a==2){
shake.style.left=parseInt(shake.style.left)+rector+"px"
}
else if (a==3){
shake.style.top=parseInt(shake.style.top)-rector+"px"
}
else{
shake.style.left=parseInt(shake.style.left)-rector+"px"
}
if (a<4)
a++
else
a=1
setTimeout("rattleimage()",50)
}

function stoprattle(which){
stopit=1
which.style.left=0
which.style.top=0
}

</script>

Step 2: Add the below inside the <img> tag of all of the images you want the effect applied to:

Code:
class="shakeimage" onMouseover="init(this);rattleimage()" onMouseout="stoprattle(this);top.focus()" onClick="top.focus()"

Example:
Code:
<img src="man.gif" class="shakeimage" onMouseover="init(this);rattleimage()" onMouseout="stoprattle(this);top.focus()" onClick="top.focus()">

Snow Effect

Step 1: Save and upload to your htdocs one of the following two images (depending on the effect you want), by right clicking the image, and choosing "save as":
snow.gif

snow2.gif

Step 2:
Having done that, simply add the below chunk of code to the <BODY> section of your layout.php:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">

    //Configure below to change URL path to the snow image
  var snowsrc="snow.gif"
  // Configure below to change number of snow to render
  var no = 10;
  // Configure whether snow should disappear after x seconds (0=never):
  var hidesnowtime = 0;
  // Configure how much snow should drop down before fading ("windowheight" or "pageheight")
  var snowdistance = "pageheight";

///////////Stop Config//////////////////////////////////

Custom Cursor Script II

Step 1: Download one of the below images to be used as your custom cursor image (or create your own!):
skin1.gif

skin.gif

Step 2: Insert the below code into the HEAD section of the index.

Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en">
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="webtoolkit.cursor.js">

</script>
</head>

Note the presence of an explicit doctype that should appear at the very top of your page. This is needed in order for the script to work correctly.

This script references an external .js file, which you should download here:

webtoolkit.cursor.js

and save it into your htdocs.

Site Logo/ Watermark Script

Description: This is a site logo/watermark script that lets you display a static image at any of the four corners of the browser, never going out of sight. It's useful for branding purposes, or to offer visitors an easy way to jump back to your site's homepage. The logo can be set to disappear after x seconds.

Simply add the below code inside the <HEAD> section of the layout.php part you wish the logo/watermark to be shown:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js"></script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="staticlogo.js">

</script>

The above code references the external .js file "staticlogo.js", which you need to download here:
staticlogo.js
scan: Virustotal. MD5: 52b437ad563a5427286627fc575027fe

Important Note: Your page should contain a valid doctype at the very top for this script to work properly. If your page doesn't, the logo will be made stationary on the page via scripting instead of CSS, which is less smooth.

Floating images scrip

Description: One important feature of DHTML is it's ability to move elements around the page freely, without having to be tied down to one single spot on the page. Here is a cool "floating images" script to use and enjoy. It's a cross-browser script that moves any number of images around the page (by wrapping the images inside <div>s, and animating each <div>), each following a randomly determined path. Furthermore, the images are clickable, making this script not only insanely cool, but practical as well!

Here is one with balloons, good for anniversarys or such...

Step 1: Download the following .js file and upload it into your htdocs
moveobj.js
scan: Virustotal. MD5: 6acd64827e72bbca6ddc85798ba9bb66

Step 2: Add the following into the <head> section of your layout.php:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="moveobj.js"> </script>
<script type="text/javascript">

//Step 1: Define unique variable names depending on number of flying images (ie:3):
var flyimage1, flyimage2, flyimage3

function pagestart(){
//Step 2: Using the same variable names as 1), add or delete more of the below lines (60=width, height=80 of image):
 flyimage1=new Chip("flyimage1",47,68);
 flyimage2=new Chip("flyimage2",47,68);
 flyimage3=new Chip("flyimage3",47,68);

//Step 3: Using the same variable names as 1), add or delete more of the below lines:
movechip("flyimage1");
movechip("flyimage2");
movechip("flyimage3");

}

if (window.addEventListener)
window.addEventListener("load", pagestart, false)
else if (window.attachEvent)
window.attachEvent("onload", pagestart)
else if (document.getElementById)
window.onload=pagestart

</script>

Step 3: Add the following into the <body> section of your page, outside any other tags. This contains the actual HTML codes used to display the images themselves:

Code:
<!-- Step 4: Define your flying images. For each image's ID tag, use the same variable names as 1) above -->

<DIV ID="flyimage1" STYLE="position:absolute; left: -500px; width:47; height:68;">
<A HREF="http://dynamicdrive.com"><IMG SRC="test.gif" BORDER=0></a>
</DIV>

<DIV ID="flyimage2" STYLE="position:absolute; left: -500px; width:47; height:68;">
<A HREF="http://dynamicdrive.com"><IMG SRC="test.gif" BORDER=0></a>
</DIV>

<DIV ID="flyimage3" STYLE="position:absolute; left: -500px; width:47; height:68;">
<A HREF="http://dynamicdrive.com"><IMG SRC="test.gif" BORDER=0></a>
</DIV>

Jump to top Link

Description: For pages that are several folds long, providing a quick way to get to the top may be appreciated by your visitors. Use this script to do just that, via a hovering lower right link. This script will make a small lower right link named "TOP" <you can rename it if you wish> which will take you to the top

Step 1: Download the following .js file, and upload to your htdocs:

jumptop.js
scan: Virustotal. MD5: 2d74a813d1daf479253945a8bb0132b0

Step 2: Insert the below code into the <body> section of all pages you wish the feature to be added to in the layout.php:

Code:
<script src="http://www.yoursite.com/jumptop.js">

</script>

Reupload all pics like 0 is working and there is 1 demo >.<..

Is that if i add pics here they won't work. I've added some demos on a website of a pc i don't use, the one on the nº1 script. The rest you can imagine a lil, if i say snow falling, you can image the small image i've posted here like 4 of them falling over the web, snowing. I'll be adding more demo's today. I wanna first finish posting all the scripts

Expando Image script

Description: Expando is a simple script for folks who want to have an image expand onMouseover (to its actual size). This lets you display large images at a reduced size initially (aka thumbnail size), and have them dynamically expand when the mouse rolls over them. Installation is simple- install the script in the HEAD section of the page, then give your "thumbnail" images a CSS class of "expando". These thumbnail images should have an explicit width/height attribute that's less than the actual image's dimensions, so the script has something to expand to.

Expando Image is AJAX friendly, meaning imported content with images with the "expando" class will be immediately recognized by the script.

Step 1: Insert the below code in the HEAD section of the layout.php:

Code:
<style type="text/css">

img.expando{ /*sample CSS for expando images. Not required but recommended*/
border: none;
vertical-align: top; /*top aligns image, so mouse has less of a change of moving out of image while image is expanding*/
}

</style>

<script type="text/javascript" src="expando.js">

</script>

The above code references the external .js file "expando.js", which you need to download
link: expando.js
scan: Virustotal. MD5: 2ef260ca77629df6b15cbbb7f54d1f78

Then, all that's left is to shrink those large images on your page (by giving them an explicit width/height attribute that's smaller than the actual dimensions), and adding the CSS class "expando" to them. For example:
Code:
<p>
<img class="expando example" border="0" src="nameofyourpic.png" width="200" height="88">
</p>

Description: A mini-window that contains another html document.
