yes its SQL server but its need website acc the serv dont have acc manager on 1/1
 
not very nice .. hard to make webbsite manager :/ and the config is very hard to understand
 
otserv is nothing for the guys who "download, paste IP and start" an ots. You have to do a lot of things to make it working.

Anyway you forgot to add that you've to use a login server..

The branch otserv840+ in the OpenTibia SVN repository at sourceforge has been updated and is now working with the Tibia 8.41 client. These changes are scheduled to be released with the next release, version 0.6.3, of OTServ. Due to changes in the protocol it's now required to run the login server and game servers on separate ports. The default values are to run the login server, status protocol and admin protocol at port 7171 while the game server is running on port 7172.
