USA have been at war with Iraq for 20 years too. Fly over and dump android phones with internet and books and newpapers and shit all over the country. Then bomb the north-korea television and radio system. Country will collapse on it's own.
Had I been Mr Il. I would definitly see the fact that the US are sending a fleet to south-korea and continue to have their military only meters from the border because just practice. What would the US say if north-korea decided to have their fleet standing 10 miles away from the shore of the US? You guys would have been pissed, and probable attacked. Don't expect any other nation to think any diffrently toward your ships.

But why always the solution of all is fight or war? Unlike animals, we could speak for make a solution for all problems. I think that it have to be a solution for that, you boys didn't see how the familys got hurted by their sons dead.

North-korea got the 4th largest standing army in the world (about 1.2 million, twice the force of the US). Almost 9 million in the reserve army (they are QUICK to replace the troop I presume), 3th largest chemical stockpile, nukes, largest special forces, weapon and air defences we know nothing about. Next to no deserters. They are provid to be north-koreans, they love their leader, they know that since US prevent them from trading, they have limited supply of some resources, south-korea stopped sending supplies too. A south-korean hate a north-korean just as much as the other way around. I highly dobt that it's only north-korea that shoot at folks over the other side of the border and stuff. But since south are quick to give a statement, their story seem to be given status as a fact.

No, countries will fight to be best, then people will fight for the power and resources there are within. A billion persons can't have everything. War ends when there is noone to fight with. If you ever wish for world peace, all except you will dissapear.
Do you even know history? There have only been like hmm, 500 wars since WW2...
Yea, Mongolia and the brits did a fine job too.
They tend to have much smaller countries back in the old days. So well, there was much more countries involved.

Unfortunately, that will NEVER happen, sticking to peace at all costs is called appeasement, and we all know what happens when big countries take up a policy of appeasement: WORLD WAR 2. As long as there is evil out there, there will be war. There are millions, if not close to a billion people out there who think differently than us and want nothing more than to destroy their enemies at all costs. War is necessary to keep peace.
@ Others, lets not forget North Korea already HAS nuclear weapons, and their crazy dictator is not afraid to use them. A turn of launch keys could set off a nuclear war. Let's hope this doesn't happen.
So what? All they have is numbers, their GDP is $40 billion. They can probably spend $4-$5. And even if they spend the whole $40 billion, it doesn't matter. The U.S Armed Forces budget is $692 billion. The U.S soldiers are 100 times better trained, equipped, and protected. Technology plays the biggest role. The North Koreans can keep coming all they want but when you have super stealthy and precise bombers and tanks, predator missiles, and missiles that can hit a target within ten meters from thousands of miles, it won't matter how many men they have.
What about World War 1? I'd say 43 million Allied troops vs 25 million Central Powers troops is pretty big.
