Hello, I was thinking, a lot of people are saying that "I don't know why my thread was deleted" or "How did this happen?" and I was thinking, why don't the moderators archive the threads or posts that they delete. Say this for instance,

LightX : *Posts Spam But Doesn't Know What He Posts*
CyberM : Post Deleted and Archived
*The Post Will Be Kept In An Archive For 30 Days, Then Be Deleted*

wouldn't that be better than just,

LightX : *Posts Spam But Doesn't Know What He Posts*
CyberM : Post Deleted

if you think so, then sign below :)

I think deleted threads are still kept alive, but they are marked differently when "deleted". Mods can still see them apparent. D:

Yep, they're not usually physically removed from database, but they get column deleted (or something like that) set to 1 :p

Well, I was once a moderator on TibiaHelp (not that good of a website anymore..) and whenever I deleted threads that I thought were spam, or posts, i couldn't see them anymore, they were just dead.

I think its just that the mods have almighty control over everything you post, so if a moderator deletes your post/thread, it would be the same as deleting your own post/thread, it would no longer be available or visible.

But it could be different :)

They use MemHT and OtLand uses vBulletin. They obviously work different.

When we delete a thread it is kept in the thread list for us but you can't see it.

Even if they couldn't, what difference would it make to have them saved?

thread approve gets set to -1 or something, it is kept in the list flagged as red with the reason why it was deleted, and who did it. There is nothing to ehm, improve here.

I not think that thread that contain scripts or somethings can be deleted, its information to newbies that dind't konw this type of script.
