How about this? I mean, the majority of people online in OTLand are guests.. Why don't we make it where you cannot view the forum unless you are a registered member? So we don't have guests just come in here, get a few scripts, maps, and data packs, and just go away.

Log off.
Go to Downloads board.
Try to download something.
You will realize you can't.

There was an explanation for the many guests, I think it was something about Google.

My opinion ... the fags will need create accounts and then they leave and will weigh otland phpmyadmin. :p

Ill have to agree with Sonik I know most of the downloads u have to be a member to see. Which i started on otfans then came here. lol.

I see.. But I mean, why are there 400+ guests and 200+ members o.0

Well they could make it where if they haven't logged in for a year or so, they get deleted, cause I mean, there are so many people from around 2009/2008 from here, and logged in once and left.

Do you think anyone will register if he didn't what what is he signing up for ? Guests comes from search engines :)

I never sign up to a forum that I can't view as guest.
I'm not wasting time to register and shit to find out the forum is 99% Polish, or that the forum is completely dead since 1430's, or that everyone in the forum is copy&paste of Mr Douche.

Allowing Guest = Allow the customer to test-drive the car before he purchases it.

People don't want to waste time in signing up to a forum to 'browse'. And you can see the type of community that you will be signing up for, & the kind of support/resources you can find in that particular community. Plus, there are already limitations to guests...Personally, I wouldn't sign up to a forum that wouldn't let me browse the threads...notice how I say browse, and not download. :P

Or maybe they are users who didn't log in yet ;)

Yeah, but you can't keep testing that car for eternity.
