The background of the arrows is supposed to be a part of the viewer (those small pictures). The background goes behind it, like it's holding it.

The only thing I didn't like about your last layout was the navigation bar and the glowing effects on the website Logo. As I see this website it is supposed to be a website for a company? And therefore it should look quite serious. And if you want a website to be looking serious you should skip "cool" fonts in my opinion.
