Server delayed from a 'possible start' 15:00 to a start 18:00 to 20:00 and now 21:00 - 22:00 ? I doubt it will even start today

Greedy to start server before its ready. U had over a week to get ready.. <_<

Your connection is pretty good though. 15MS @ Poland and 40~ @ Europe xd OVH got up to 500MB/s protection last time I checked.

From their 1Gbps box:
"**: Traffic is unlimited. If you exceed 20 TB / month, the connection will be limited to 10 Mbps. 1 Gbps connection will be restored once additional TB of traffic have been purchased (after what you have exceeded has been taken away). £0.89 ex. VAT per TB (Minimum purchase 2TB)."

So, if you get a big DDoS attack, they will shrimp your network to 10Mbps. Good luck hosting with that. With MasterCores during the hell where we were constantly under DDoS attack we would be completely screwd if we were using OVH.

If you want to be able to eat strong DDoS attacks, leaseweb is the way to go. They have fairly cheap 100TB servers at 1Gbps host.

Keep in mind to pick a computer with an SSD harddrive instead of SATA to actually be able to handle huge network load. (from etc massive package attacks). Our first MasterCores server got pretty much killed once we had 60000 network packets going in each second. And I bet the good DDoS attacks can go up to 100k with ease. Having a quick system means everything then.

Btw, leaseweb allows paypal purchases. (At least I am paying them with my paypal account, but you may have to register your paypal acc to use them).

Hosteam :p They've better protection at least. Without their premium protection you get 500mbit as standard. Premium = 1.5gbit.

I've talked with Hosteam via email before and they could actually speak decent english. Isn't most of these big ots using hosteam? XD

I would say that he should stop advertising on other servers lol. too avoid further enemies :p

I've made some researches and found out that OVH is the best company out there for ots in my opinion IF you buy ddos protection which you guys have done now then there should not be any problems..

I see many ots have ovh like gunzodus.net & northera.net & their server is very stable..

So changing host might give you more trouble :/
