ShadowCores.. well.. err.. dying??..

Well I hate to even talk about it, but last night there was something like 30+ players?
I mean whats going on?
Is this going the be another Softcores' fate?

Why I'm posting this is I want to know what you all people think..
What can be done to stop new players quitting so early?

Well couple of reasons, it's 9.53, some of my team quit becouse to little ppl, they would probally play if it was 100~200 players...
No bot for them or so...

Well this has been stated off previous threads. I'm new to people here. But the IP Changer doesn't seem to work for others. Not sure why or what Changer they're using, but sometimes even with my OT Land Changer it won't even load the server till i try several times. May be a reason why people aren't joining because they probably can't. Also promoting the server. I sometimes join servers when random people I make friends with play another server. Just trying to be some help.

why does it not work for u to load ip? do u have vista/win7? often need programs to run on admin... or do u get any errors? if u get errors, post them here so talaturen can take a look at them... also otland ip changer requires to install this: Download: .NET Framework 3.5 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

It works for me. I login whenever I can. Just sometimes I have to try to reload the character list before it'll work. Usually works for me after 1 or even 2 tries. I have Vista btw.

I have to use "NEW.shadowcores.twifysoft.net" and thats not on the servers' page..
another reason is that I dont think anybody its going to bother to download .net framework (in the case they dont have it) just to get an IP-Changer to work

They should post that on the website. On how to connect if the original doesn't work. Really, I don't think this is the primary reason. Maybe no one knows how to connect to 9.53 server? I'd never played anything newer than 8.6 because I never had an IP changer to join a server like this till now. Maybe that's also another reason.

It is NEEDED to work properly, in Win7 (it's preinstalled, couse better version(?) 4.0), dont know if its preinstalled in vista, but try install it if ur on vista and see what happens, XP needs to install this!

My Vista already downloads it as an update. I've got higher than 3.0. it still works buggy.

I would say that the player amount is increasing, give it a month or so and we will notice.

A few things:
1) People should learn to play without bot. Tibia is way more fun without.
2) Cipsoft should have keept a gameplay without hotkey aim.
3) Open Tibia fucked server up, because they added exp stages.

Isn't the thread topic asking for a reason why there is only a few amount of players on the server?
1) People can't play without bot.
2) Cipsoft made the gameplay more boring, because people only have to press a hotkey to spamm sds.
3) Exp stages sucks.

We're not discussion Tibia in general and how bad Cipsoft developed their game. (I think they have done only good things tho)

Great server and I really enjoyd it! Thought, it seem's pointless to keep levling manual when the amount of players are so low. Hopefully it will increase soon

I'm not so worried about the servers future, give it some weeks and we will see whether the server will increase it's amount of players or drop drastically. I'm not really doubting that servers above the 8.6 client can get players, it's just all about the servers files and the advertisement before the launch I think. Sure, 8.6 is a big advantage because it might attract bigger teams to come and play, but if the server is good enough it shouldn't be a problem for people to join a 9.53 server too aswell...

That's what I call a cool story.
Yet the most obvious reason to why people aren't playing is simply. They cannot bot on versions higher than 8.6 so they just stay on servers that are for those versions such as Masiyah.
