Tibia in 3D - Opinions?

To begin with, I was looking at minecraft recreation of thais, and it looked so awesome and fun. Link will be put at the bottom of the thread by the way. I thought to myself how it would not be all about war, and rpg will be a main factor, adding music to the game with talking NPC's and sound, now how awesome does that sound!

It wouldn't work with the new tibia style(9.6), but instead an updated old school tibia(7.4) style, pvp would also work, 1v1s would be funnier than ever too, if you have played old school ot's, just imagine it with this idea and how it would work.. becuase in my eyes it would.

What do you guys think?
1: Will it work?
2: Would it be hard to make something like this?
3: Would cip ever do such a thing?
4: How interesting do you find this and will it appeal to you?
Lastly 5: Do you think the PVP will work out?

Well, Sound, npc talking, monster sound and attacking sounds all is easy to make!
CIP. wont make it cuz the special thing in tibia that is 2D
Why not play runescape?
Its pvp, 3d, quests, mage etc?
so I think it would be a bad idea
but maybe a cool 2d design would be nice

2D is Tibia's gimmick, CIP will never remake tibia in 3D, however, not adding sounds and other normal stuff every game today has is just plain laziness...

and lol @ Tibia can't be made without Java xD

Lol, if you players thought twice, Tibia is on a downfall and if cipsoft don't act fast.. then Tibia will have really low players.

Smart, business would have another game in development and launch that so they stay making good profit, or even increased.

Honestly, tibia is one of the most boring games ever. Which person would want to go on a 2D game and waste 1 day earning a level at level 200? Tibia now is extremely boring, it's either you bot, or you war and warring is extremely boring due to the facts that there are.

tibia is good for start in mmorpg's games,isn't difficult to play, light client, "free" but with the time you see that is like turn-based game but without stop the turns and that was made with paint, and you see for other games like runescape, wow, ragnarok, others... because tibia sucks more and more with every update they do

Tibia Started to be a Browsergame I think that they won´t patch that stand-alone client in future
and use their shitty Flash Client...
Then Tibia wouldn´t be a MMORPG it would just be
a boring Browsergame

To be honest, the Flash client has improved DRAMATICALLY (yes, I wrote it in a louder tone).
When it first came out, it lagged like shit, we were all moving like a damn snail.

But now, the performance is 99% the same as the stand-alone client. So, I have no idea where all this "flash client hate" is coming from.
Yes, there are some downsides, such as smaller screen and browser crashes, however they can easily be worry-freed.

Other than that, the flash client is awesome, it is smooth, it has a lot of nice features that the stand-alone client does not have.
And it's still in BETA, which means more awesome fixes and improvements are coming.

Sure, yes, I saw the Thais minecraft video, I'm quite impressed, however, it looks like a very tight region.
If there were going to be any close resemblance between Tibia and 3D, it would lie within Minecraft.

I'm sure it is possible to have the entire Tibia game atmosphere (EXP, map, monsters, items) as a texture pack.
However, it would take a millennium for anyone to finish it.

If it was something like World of Warcraft, it would be interesting, but I just don't see it being a "big-league" game like WoW, Guildwars, ect.

I'd prefer Tibia staying 2D like it is right now, that's why many of us play this game.

Well, I've played tibia since 2005? And the thing about is, rpging is really boring. Tibia is made out to be a botting game, like what else are you gonna do if you've took level 200, done all important quests on a non-pvp server? It gets boring after a while, the first 2 years were great but now look.. you cannot stick with the same game for over 15 years expecting its going to be the same fun game. If they made a separate 3D tibia with all sorts of things, it would be so much fun with the unique pvp system that all games do not have. With that, the RPG part of it will be much more fun.

Of course they wouldn't do something like that.. they would invest money into scripters, programmers to do the job.. it would take roughly 1-2 years. Not long if you think about it.

Tibia makes roughly 12-13 million a year(revenue), investing 200,000 is not even close to much to the profit they make which is around 6+ million.

2d is it what makes it special, it would be completely different game in 3d. I don't get where suddenly this "Tibia is going to fall" attitude is coming, yes peak record was in 2007 but in last 2-3 years as i remember there has been same amount of people online 20-30k. I don't think there has been some point where lots of people have left tibia suddenly.

I honestly had an easier time playing Runescape/WoW/Ragnarok than i have Tibia. (Back in the day anyway, Tibia now is like a park where the birds cherp & the shit smells like roses)
