I read that thread about what computer you had at the age of twelve and it got me thinking of my childhood. At that age I didn't own a computer. My days consisted of doing whatever for the whole day. I was rarely inside and it was a lot easier finding things to do. Things felt so damn simple then.

TV was something I watched in the mornings and sometimes before bed. I remember getting up early just to watch power rangers/T.M.N.T/Spider man, things that were the shit back then. When being sick I would lay in front of the TV the whole day watching Nickelodeon. Keenan & Kel, All That, Rocket Power, Modern Life of Rocko(?)... etc. There were a lot of other shows that I loved under my childhood but can't really write them down here as the are ALOT.

Tazos. Buying a bunch of chips just to get this plastic thing to play with. Damn these things were popular, just outside the shop selling chips you could find people playing lol

First time here I actually have to agree with you.
When I was a little kid, I didn't use a damn computer. I was out, playing football and other things.

I watched TV in the morning too, but that depended on the weather.

Things was a whole lot easier back then.

Born 1991 to.

1989 here, Yeah, life was so simple and we spent most of it outdoors, I remember waking up, to watch my favorites cartoons, for me in the afternoon they would give Power Rangers, TMNT, Spider Man, Hulk etc.(it's Rocko's Modern Life) , I used to live with many neighbors that had kids of my age, so the fun never ended.

We lived day by day! no worries or anything for that matter, only go to school(which was fun also because of our friends).
I didn't have a computer until I got to 8th Grade, it was mostly being outdoors and begging my parents for money for the candy store nearby!

Here is some more Nostalgia!
Keep remembering until the end of times!

N64 was the king.

This was exactly my reaction when I got it for Christmas in 1996.

I've heard it but don't recall actually playing :s

I read one of the comments on YouTube, he/she couldn't be any more right.

Because new games aren't about having fun, they're all about killing and being the best of the best, the top of the elite. And even if you become the best, you'll never be satisfied with games like Call of Duty or Gears of War. Banjo Kazooie, DK, Mario, Zelda...the games aren't about competition, they're just about having a good time. And that's why we look back at them with such fond nostalgia.

I still have that game on my PSP and I regularly play it! :D

Oh the memories
Got around 50 games in a box, played Digimon World a little around Christmas, was fun and nostalgic but after some days I got reminded why I got mad at that game when young, the damn Digimon dies! :<

Not a very old game but Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is damn good game to play with people, frustrating as hell at times though :D

@Evan
I totally agree, games nowadays are graphic-focused and money guaranteed, with only a small few slipping between the holes

Disgaea is a perfect example, its one of the few games in current gen that is still sprite-based(hence "bad graphics" for current gen, but its just the game style) and its one of the few games of current Gen that makes me laugh, not only the story itself(its too weird to explain xD), but even the skills they use, some are so hilariously ridiculous that I just break down laughing xD

If you have the free time and are curious, here's a complete exhibition of the skills (and yes, those damage numbers are normal for early end-game)

Best Game (in my opinion) of PlayStation 1

The best game ever, Castlevania - Symphony of the Night

Golden Age!

Sega Genesis was like the first console we had, damn I was excited when we got it, SEEEEEEGAAAAA! Some kind of game with around 5-6 games in it was included in the package
  • Formula 1
  • Ninja Gaiden?
  • World Cup Italia
  • Streets of rage
  • Sonic
Had a lot of fun with all of them except Formula 1, that one was pretty damn boring. Sonic <3

Look at this game, Touhou, it is not the most graphical game, but surely one hell of a game:
