Releasing my projects

Hello everyone,

Well i thougt about i'll keep one project for my self and release those i don't use.

I have 2 projects on my computer:
Pokemon From Scratch based on 1.x series!
Oldschool based on 1.x series [7.4, 8.0]

Which one should i keep and which one should i release.

Well i just got a hint, that i may kill the oldschool community. You guys will ask why? Since if there is to many of same oldschool. Then there will not be enough of players in each server. Which will cause the wars to fail and etc...

So i'm not sure now, if i want to kill the community

I think like this, people will have more use for the oldschool servers than the pokemon server.
If you gonna release one of those, I would say the 7.4 / 8.0

Yes it will kinda "destroy" the old school community a bit. Some people will get angry whatever pack you decide to release just as @Evil Puncker mentioned.

Yeah, i may have to think twice Maybe i can release code parts. But ofc the oldschool there is no code parts i can release. Since the most of the scripts are based on the orts project. You know 1.x rules

You do right in thinking twice, even let this thread get older so more people have a chance to give their opinion.

The server you worked on had to be shutdown when you tried to run it because it contained so much bugs, right? I don't think anyone without decent amount of knownledge will be able to run the server, considering its far from finished - so my conclusion is that it will not ruin the oldschool scene at all.

Speaking of ruining though, the amount of work some people at otland put into the Github real map project is insane. That seriously ruined the "real map" scene =/

Well i have fixed those bugs But it may has some bugs in it, since it's not easy downgrade 10.41 server to 7.4-8.0 without bugs

About orts, the meaning of that project was not to ruin real map community or even compete with others. It was made to keep the community together, change to latest TFS and also attract more people to Otland.

Is the 7.4/8.0 project based on TFS 1.0? Did you downgrade the client from 10.41 to 8.0? If so, then I think it would help the oldschool community ALOT if you atleast released the source .

Well i see now how you gained your post count. It does not mean that i have to release it same day i asking a question. Since the day i quit open-tibia all my projects and all my stuff will be downloadable.
