well, i must say that this is not an OT server. This is just a fantasy world.The creatures anre a "hunt" for players and the places dont mean to be hunting places. The creatures meant tobe real inhabiutants of the lands with their own stories, etc...

So when you watch the pictures of the haven, then imagine....

.... a sunny day, the heat is burning in your face. You feel the sweat on your skin. From every direction you hear different voices. They are loud and come from every direction. The roaring of cyclopes, the fast speech of nomads. Many different voices feel the air around you. And the smell, the smell of sweat, dirty clothes, the smell of the wooden ships and the smell of all the goods which are brought from ships.... Also many different faces, everybody is running, is yelling, is in hurry, has to do his work....

Thieves walk around, trying to steal your purse... Smugglers want you to buy something.. or maybe to fool you? To lure you in the backyard and steal your money?

Minotaur guards walk around and patrol. Travelers run around and ask you something in a foreign language.... . Groups of pirates and barbarians walk around, laughing and joking..... Dont dare to look at them or they will start a fight...

The hafen is full today, the minotaurs at the reception hurry to register all the new ships and the goods and people they bring....

This only for RPG, it meant to show a fantasy world "as real as possible"

anyway, here i have some older pics. they show a small piece of taurik open air market. mayn merchant from allover the world come to taurik to sell and to buy exotic wares. barbarians from the north, chakoyas from even more north, dworcs and lizards from the jungle and swamps, dak wizards, witches and cults, elves, djinns... in taurik market you can buyx everything, legal and illegal.... the place is very crowded and its very loud, you can barely hear what your naighbor is saying. all merchants yell their prices very loud. the place is dangerous, there are many thieves and bandits trying to steal ur purse, grab you. so many minotaur guards patrol the market.

THE PICS ARE VERY DETAILED, SO PAY THE DAMN ATTENTION TO DETAILS !

ONTOPIC:

If you really want to improve, you need to concentrate on your detailing (which colors and structures fit to each other?)
Less might be more (spamming with trash&shit does not help to make a map decent)

Try to... just map without monsters first, map for showoff to gain some experience (might take months to practice) THEN continue.

i dont get the point o.0 i have 5-6 big complet mapped ships, which look realistic and very detailed (yeah, they are detailed, because they look like real ships would look like. there is trash everywhere, a lot of different stuff is lying around etc., just like in a real fantasy world). I dont like that clean peaceful and unrealistic maps. so well i dont think he is a better mapper than me lol

to ur second advice, yeah, i ll try to map without mobs first. i ll check it out, thanks!

im on your side, i love the salmon mango transportal boat with frost giant hunt where dwarves try to flee and save their hammers and saws, using the rescue boat

i would place one or two cornflakes on the ground and i give u a solid 5/7 out of 8

i also like how the boat has a stair down on bottom floor to underwater so u can make suicide if u dont want to boating

Your ships look neither realistic nor very detailed and so does all the rest. First of all, making everything bigger is not equal to realism. Everything is quite small in Tibia for a reason, this game just doesn't scale 1:1 to the real world. The realism comes from good design and proper detailing. Your maps look overspammed (especially the monsters, how the fuck is that playable?), autobordered, bugged and weak in general. You're a beginner, so take advice from people instead of shitting on them lol

dude, you simply dont know anything about ships and nothing about that screenshot. but let me explain it to you.

there are no mangos, but lemons. lemons were very needed on ships, so the crew can eat them, cuz lemons protects you from some kind of a sea sickness (dont know the english name, but in german its called "Skorbut"). today this sickness is not a threat for ship crews, but it was a threat 100-200 years ago. Thats why the lemons!

the salmon is justfood, cuz the ship comes from a very far away place and the crew needs to eat smtihing, obviously.

the frost trolls and ice giants work on that ship. the ship comes from a northern region, where frost trolls and ice giants are cheap workers and they are needed on a ship to carry heavy loads and to fight against pirates.

the cyclopes work at the ship station. they are strong and big and so they can carry heavy loads very good.

the dwarves DONT escape, they just try to fix the ship. during the travel the ship suffered some damage, because of a storm. and the dwarves ingeneurs know a lot about techniks and so they work at the Taurik ship station and fix ship damages.

the stairs dont lead into water, they lead into -1 floor of the ship..... maybe you didnt know it but ships had not jsut 2 levels lol... on -1 floor is stored food, water, drinks, wares, cells, weapons and places for matrosses.

the water pools came from the rain outside, when cyclopes run around they bring water from outside inside the ship + ships get always water inside! always, so ship is a very wet and stinky place! + dont forget a ship is made of wood and wood can start to smell bad because of water.

the rubbish on the floor is there, because the matrosses never clean their cabine. why should they? after their hard work at sea, they jsut go down drink and gamble lol they dont clean anything...

so i NEVER place things RANDOMLY! everything on my screens has a meaning! you just need to thing to realise what the meaning is, but everythiing has its meaning and purpose!
