What is TR?
TibiaRoyale is a battle royale game where up to X players fight to be the last person standing.

How will this work?
There will be a big lobby where every new player and people who join the server will be waiting. There will be a teleport, once X members is filled, the game will start and the players will be teleported to random areas of the fighting map.

There will be around 3-4 big maps to start with, each teleport will trigger the game to start for that specific map, this means around 3-4 games can be run at the same time. Once the server needs more, we will feature more.

There will be no vacations, everyone will have the same vacation at all times. There will be random loot around the map like weapons, runes, explosives, spells to activate and so on.

You will get points for killing people and winning the game. You will be able to purchase cosmetics using the points. It will not be a pay to play.

We are still considering a lot of stuff, I also have a lot of ideas and stuff that I have written down!

What about the team working on this?
I am currently working on it by myself and I am looking for all kind of developers to help me join this! If you think you are skilled, PM me and we will talk this through. I am looking for mappers, coders, designers and so on!

What if there is just 10 players online so they will have to wait until they reach x amount of players? So dont you think its really bad idea? People will leave because they will be bored to wait, and this type of server with random loot has zero skill gap, because loot is random. But i like the idea its something unique but it has to much - then +

nowadays servers with a lot of players are because of war and easy things that you can buy/get via game or some different kind of rpg like custom servers with custom otc, but you will need a minimum of 50 players to recreate a battleroyal scenario and that will not happen.

We will try to see if we could add AI bots to join the game on launch. We will also add mods where you can play with less people. And yes most BattleRoyals are RNG, try to learn the map, you will have chests around the map that will spawn stuff, once you learn the map you will know where it is best to land and so on. Once youre geared up, skills shows up.

This was attempted Before on Tibia, just after the first movie of The Hunger Games came out. It was fun, but quickly lost its population.

Maybe if you have different ideas and new ideas and angles on this it could work.
If you only can buy cosmetics for your Points you cant develop your character and make it permanently stronger, players will loose interest.

a pay to win server will quickly die because of newcomers it will be unfair. Its gonna be more of a skilled game, and we will be adding new weapons, runes, armor, spells etc every update and try to add new cosmetics to make the game cool.

An interesting idea/suggestion.

Make an area where the battle royale stops when 4/6/8/?? players are left, and they then have to do a small quest / trial, which then provides some sort of reward.

Not sure if its a very good idea because it will move them from their current position. But I will keep it in mind in case something like it might be added, thank you
 
This is like PvP one vs all?
Do u thnik about other gamemodes? :)
Last man standing, we might add teams, and other modes in the feature where we limit it to only something specific and so on!

I understand you that every royal game has RNG but thats why they are fps games because your trash loot can compensate your good aim in tibia there is no skill gap so basically the person who find better loot wins so i find it a little bit stupid, but it just my opinion.

Unless everyone starts with some loot, i.e some HMMs, UHs, manafluids, and the protocol ix 7.x where you have to aim runes to apply effect. Finding SDs/burst arrows etc may help a skilled player whereas if they come into the hands of a noob, he will play bad regardless.

"Pay-to-Win" is a reference if you use real Money to buy stuff to make you stronger and that gives advantage to other players. There is no discussion here.

If you win Royal games in your server and win "Points" and buy better starting items, its not pay to win. It is character progression.

Also for example: The hunger games are not fair games. You have a small Child, an old lady, Young and skilled warriors and Archers, survivalists, engineers in the same battle. People who play and win should feel some kind of character progression.
Why play if you dont get stronger?

-- These "Points" that is rewarded when you win could buy skills. Eventually, you are skilled with swords or maybe magic. Or average in all traits. see my Point?

Yes I understand. But even skill points would make it uneven, because you’ll be stronger than new players. But cosmetics will tell the people you’ve been playing for so long. Battle royales games are different than hunger games. Everyone starts even and they progress in the game. Then they reset. The fun is every match is gonna be different and you’ll have different drops and different people and different map so different scenario every time. We’ll try to keep the game fun by adding new cosmetics and new stuff like weapons, spells, runes and so on. We’re open to all suggestions
 
This is a very interesting idea, I'm actually looking forward to it, and as Amiroslo said, battle royal games are suppose to develop in the game, the real problem is, as Kaspar said, Tibia as a game have no skill gap, there is no point on finding items as the one who finds an SD rune will win everything, unless you add the need for actual fighting skills, as is the 7.x rune system and maybe other custom techniques.

But indeed, is a very interesting idea, I'm working with Amiroslo to see its potential
 
To make a battle royale in a game like Tibia is very tricky because it is 2D and tab targetting, you should do some of the following things to make it work:

*remove battlelist and tab targetting hotkeys (only self hotkeys and crosshairs should remain)
*increase the arena of the game, is too small for battle royale, fog of war needs to be implemented, players in dark areas and behind walls should not be seen
*add the brush system of League of Legends, so players can hide in plain sight
*upgrade invisibility to work with players and chameleon rune should hide your name/hp bar
*limit the power of find persons to one charge items, add ward items to warn you of players coming your way
*movement spells need to be implemented besides haste, for example spell do teleport some sqms, spell to teleport to player if you hit a beam like spell, spell to teleport to a position you previous were (maybe leaving some mark behind), spell to become immune to incoming spell for short time, etc
*If AoE runes are common they should give a heads up warning on the fields they are going to hit so that the enemy player can try escape the damage (although it should be very hard if you hit them with the very center of the spell), battle royales should be a game of skillshots and dodging spells and not just spamming hotkeys, single target runes needs to be aimed in sqm not in players
*To make sure you hit spells better there should be traps or wave/beam type spells to root players for a few seconds

I think you should take games like league of legends and battlerite royale as inspiration and not the likes of fortnite and PUB
