The Rebirth System

The Rebirth System has been criticized by my higher level players ever since it was introduced two days ago. I've been told all of the following, "You ruined the game, players with double hp/mana for their level, and worse" - "You don't get anything from rebirthing, it's used just to brag!" - "You're more likely to get better by just straight leveling after 600 instead of being "reborn" - "Rebirthing takes too much time, and too much effort."

This is what I have to say

The rebirth system doesn't keep all your hp/mana when resetting you from 600 to 15. This would destroy the balance and equality of players. This would make the players with the most balance (paladins) way overpowered. The rebirth system keeps your base hp/mana at level 15, and adds an integer to your base, so your base raises for each rank you achieve. These are the bases for each vocation. Please note: You must reach 600 once, to enter the rank system, therefore, going from rank 0 to 1 will give you no boost. Joining the ranked system is actually an option.

Knights: 290/70
Paladins: 255/140
Mages: 220/245

This means that once you're reborn, you will receive a base health and mana raise. This is a screenshot showing a level 100 super knight with rank 0. (Please note that the Nightmare Armor does NOT give you hp/mana boost.



This level 100 super knight has the same health/mana as a level 100 knight in real tibia. This is what happens after you rebirth once. (Remember, rank 0 to 1 has no bonus!)



Notice the HP/Mana difference? Note: I DID relog. You do NOT lose this bonus once you log or die.
You might be thinking, "Wow! That's not that big of an upgrade." But what happens once you reach... Lets say, Rank 7?



Once you reach a higher level, you'll notice that the rebirth system is, and will always be the only way to excel.


The exhaust on Curaga

I may have changed a few things concerning pvp balance, but I have not changed the exhaustion on Curaga. This is all I have to say about that theory.



Anybody with at least comprehensive knowledge as to how to start a computer up can understand what I'm pointing out.

The Guild War System

The Guild War System is now working! There was a slight error before, and it was completely removed. I tested it extensively, and now it works. Sorry for the little mishap.

The Lag & Illegal Name Banishments

There were multiple players using ' in their name, and abusing MySQL which caused the server to start to lag terribly after a certain amount of uptime. So I had no choice but to delete around 300+ characters (Donor characters were name changed). Now it is impossible to make a character with ' in your name.

King of the Hill & Capture The Flag

It's not advisable to enter these areas without a teleport scroll.. quite frankly because these events are only possible to exit either by death, victory, or teleport scroll. These events have a few kinks that need to be worked on, and should be fully functional by patch time (date TBA).

Forever AOLs & AOLs

These have been working for a while actually. I forgot to update MoTD :thumbup:

Please leave your comments, feedback, and thoughts. I spent a good deal of time making this post, the least you can do is post something intuitive.

Red did you think about the rebirth bonus for pallys and knights , health and mana , and the advantage mages could get what we talked about yesterday?

Well dude. If you just lvl to 610 you get what idk

With each level, a knight will gain:

* 25 oz of Capacity
* 15 Hitpoints
* 5 Mana

15x10 = 150 extra hp. Which seems to be more then 1 rebirth does.. >.>
 
I won`t trash my char again for this rebirth shit. In my opinion it gives less advantage , than just level up your char on a normal way.
The SD power a mage gains through his levels, will be always higher with lvl 1000~ then with 10x rebirth on lvl 600.
Also its counterproductive for wars , when you need your team and half of them is lvl 100 because they just rebirth.
And for me personally , it`s a nightmare to do every 2-3 days the same thing (lvl up from 15-600).

Yeah, I'm currently searching for monsters that cannot be healed by players, and a monster that self-destructs after x seconds. Then we'll have two big bugs fixed ;)

Well it seems that the people die and they monsters stay. lol

And also. Rebirthing is making pvp a complete joke. You can get lvl 500 in like an hour now.

The rate seems to be fine in my opinion.

He's referring to Golem, because Golem has the Nightmare Armor and he's been leveling straight for two days. It's not as fast as he makes it out to be :p

Thats totally unbalanced now. Yes , we can "rebirth" but we will start with lvl 15, can´t use the wand or double / tripple OT until we reach 300, while the knights and pallys rebirth with the weapon in the hand and it works. All Vocations gain more mana and hp , yes, but this only helps knights and pallys cause their healing depends on their hp. That means after like 50 rebirth they have a lot of more HP and Mana and heal a lot more, but we don´t do more damage. So it doesn´t make sense sitting there and watching others gain more advantage while you cant do anything :blink:

There´s quite no option , cause it doesn´t make sense to rebirth as a mage in my opinion and when you don´t rebirth you can´t do anything on the server beside killing everyone you see cause you are bored.

Also, it is unfair that knights can do 20k exori rai's that cost 2000 each. A class thats not suppose to do damage, but take it. On my pally, I occasionally hit a 20k. (You nerf our bow and keep the 60% miss on it, then nerf the healing). Golem EXORI'ED me today for a 2.6k. Knights are going to be just like those on old cyntara. Take 10 people to kill one that is a few levels higher than you. Also you need to fix rebirth for mages or at least make nightmares take more death damage so they can at least level faster...
Your going to lose some veterans of your OT if you read these posts and do nothing.

agree with sonless and ooth, i know me posting doesnt mean shit to a certain person, but its insane that knights and pallys hit wisp, and nightmares (best 2 lvling monsters), for tons more than mages do, not to mention that mages only heal 2k mana per mana rune and knights heal like..5k? with curaga, and pallys 3-4k~ with exura san.
mages cant hardly kill a wisp until lvl 350, and its still tough, and a nightmare i couldnt solo on renu until about 520, using vis hur and spamming mana rune.
also, 0x exp at 651? get that shit outta here -.-
its an option to rebirth i thought, no, once u get 651 you CANT lvl so its really not an option, mages need to get more lvls not rebirth, mages are more for dmg, yet u see knights hitting much harder then mages, imo the rebirth sucks overall.
 
This is why I made this thread, to patch the server and make it better. All of your opinions are going into consideration.

@Whynot: The experience at your level should not be 0. It should never be 0. Do you not receive experience for killing monsters?

Bare with me for a couple days, initial updates don't always go the way they're planned, but I've yet to run off all of the players on my server, I know what I'm doing, it takes a while. I'm going to work on what players don't like, and make them like 99% of the game.

Hey , You have a great server owner right there, Great Job Red , you've took some ideas Of Conquer online [Guild war , Rebirth] But it's not stealing feel good ! :D
