What the fuck is t.com?
It can't be so hard to write out Tibia.com.

Anyways, I like the fog, but if there's lightning and rain or snow, I'm gonna laugh.

EDIT:

I just realized that this might be the potential flash client that is coming out soon. This may end all bots and finally let us have sound! This will also make animation look 1000x better.

I think bots for flash will be even easier to write :)

But I don't think that LoW will do a new bot for flash client, due his new game..

Perhaps.

We get a flash client, YATC might get a problem though.

Flash client with sound, easy managing way better graphics, and probably better FPS.

It will be awesome :D

DarkstaR @ TUGbot will have his chance of superior success. :p

flash will probably just decrase terrible framerate to even worse level ;d
but better spell effects is thing that I'm waiting for

well, it depends on programming skill, most of flash games have terrible framerate if you look at graphics quality etc
on strong pcs it willwork better, cause current client just ALWAYS works bad, but on weaker ones flash will be probably slower(current client have better support for weak pcs than for good ones)

Here's the hint of the flash client: name/health bar coordination differences.

You can see the difference, the left is from the picture and the right is the way it actually is ingame right now.

o.0 looks very nice xD Hope Open tibia will be ported without any problems to new client xD

If nfries88 is alive, then OpenTibia will still be alive.
Without this man and CipSoft changes their client, we'll be stuck with 8.54 for eternity.

Wops, wrong version!

A joke? Better FPS?

Ihsua Beris: "Hello everybody! I'm glad to tell you a bit about the Tibia Flash client, a project we have been working on for quite a while now. The work is still in progress and we are far from finished with it. All in all, I can say that we have worked a lot with the feedback many of you have provided through the different channels our community managers keep ready for you all the time.

During the last months, we focused primarily on the client's technical aspects. First, we did a fundamental evaluation whether or not the Flash platform suits our needs at all, and then laid down the foundations for the Flash Client. We started with implementing an extended chat console and experimented with some new features for it.

Then we went on to the game window. In some aspects, like e.g. the rendering algorithm, the new Flash client is heavily based on the current client. However, not only did we fix some minor graphics inconsistencies but - as you can see from the fog in the screenshot - we also added transparency effects and we greatly extended the animation capabilities of the client. This will hopefully allow our content designers to make their darkest visions of Tibia come true one day, hehe.

Finally, we spent much effort on making the Flash Client fast enough to play even on older machines.

As the basics are now taken care of, we will focus on usability aspects. We have to make adjustments in several areas, like e.g. the hotkeys, in order to adopt to the Flash platform. Besides our own ideas, we are also trying to adopt further suggestions from you, the community, in order to make the Flash Client easier and more convenient to use. Stay tuned! We've still got a long way to go but we are working hard to get it done."

flash cannot have better fps than nice coded normal exe IMO(I may be wrong)
but indeed it can have better fps than CURRENT yatc and CURRENT tibia client

I was right!

The sneak peak had NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with weather system, it was only about flash client.

Mirade finally tells us the truth here: Tibia - Free Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game - Forum

Quoted from Mirade @ tibia.com

That's weird that you didn't mention anything about weather system showed on previous news. Wouldn't it be introduced with spring patch? Anyway, the update sounds really great.

The picture was not a spring patch teaser but a sneak peek on the flash client we're working on. Have a look at Ogrey's post here to find out more.

OGREY'S POST:

Greetings!

I decided to prepone my post and not to wait until tomorrow...

The Flash client is currently in development and there is still a loooong way ahead of us. So there will definitely not be a release anytime soon. The news was a "sneak peek", a first impression, a flash forward (nice pun, heh?).

Further, this little news isn't a teaser for the spring patch, also not for the summer update. Just a first look on things that might come one day in the future.

So far, a decision concerning actual whether effects in Tibia hasn't been made yet. It is too early to make any forecast about that now.

The fog you could see in the image is a first visual effect we experimented with. Don't be worried about your framerate. We will keep a close eye on the Flash client's performance in all development stages.

By the way, the Flash client will not be a mere clone of the current client. Instead, we really want to improve it a lot as compared with the current one,
especially with regards to accessability and usability aspects.

As soon as the dev team has some more news for us, we will let you know.

Ogrey

I can't wait till Tibia will be on PlayStation with HD, 1080p resolution support :S
