Massive fireball reported across Midwestern sky - CNN.com

There's a video of it in that link.
People are saying that it was a meteorite, but it is still unexplained. It lightened up the entire sky and created sonic booms as it flew across the United States.

What the hell is going on in the world?
6 inches of snow in Texas (near equator) this winter
5+ massive and deadly earthquakes
A volcano eruption in Europe, blocking 6,000+ flights
Now this "meteorite" flies near Earth

Mother Nature is just pissed off or is it "2012" warming up?

Judging the ball's speed, I'd say its an UFO, because it's going at a steady speed, but not landing nor approaching the floor. Maybe 2012's plan includes aliens, who knows..

I didn't see it and I live in Indiana...
It says that it rattled the houses and everything, bulls**t?

It's traveling way to slow to be a meteor.

The aliens are coming men, they steal me scripts!

Its not like they were right next to it, was probably so far away it looked like it was going slower.

Something like this happened some months ago @ a country of Europe
Everyone startled, saying UFOs, 2012 and all that bullshit
then the real story was like it was a failed missile test or something about a nuclear plant

this prob is something like that

well, that was predicted or unexpected?? PPl were not warned about that news

Forecasted ^_^
no ufos, no 2012 bullshit

How about everyone go look up NEOs (or Near Earth Objects) before you start freaking out about aliens and some dead guys factless prophetic visions...

if ur rlly woried about "2012" then do right things ;s (u know wat)
i mean pop the question everyday

I just feel so disappointed when people take bed night stories before facts..

Seriously.. first of that light was a stone, when it reach the atmosphere it will "explode" as the air here will heat this high-speed object up in less that 0,1 second and start to burn as hell.. and before it reach the grounds it's nothing left of it.

and 2012 isn't facts.. it's a old history.. and how can you say this is not normal to this planet to having this much shits in a year? Humans have been watching the weather for like 100 years and noted it all... and ofc in 100 years it don't have to happen a shit, now when it suddenly does it's "end of the world" wtf..

the first guys that found religion, if they would come to us today we would lock them in on mentality hospital..

I don't have time to explain all shit but if you ever will be able to put facts togheter you'll see that 2012 is just a date that sound good for those whop lived several thousands years ago.

and that "shy lightning up on night" is more then normal, happens several times/year. it's like 5000 Meteors that hit us every year, which 20 of them is big enough to come that far down it will light a whole sky up.. while 2-3 of those are having that hard material and are big enough to actually reach the ground.

I can tell you that this planet have had way worse shit happened than we, everyone that live today, will ever see...

**This facts might be bit weird or so, but I wrote it fast, I don't have time to tell whole my life history, I getta finish Alavia**

Don't meteors split up in the earths atmosphere and that's what gives it the Fiery visual type thing

they heat up,, in space there's nothing that slow them down (air etc) and they can go for like 50000 km/h and when they hit our atmosphere at this speed and suddenly there's air slows it down it will heat up that much it will burn like hell.

Take you hands to eachother, and rub them really hard.. it will become warm doesn't them?

that's how the meteor works when they come into our atmosphere.

We can just leave it like this; life on Earth and the planet Earth can come to an end anytime.

pretty obvious that it's an asteroid. You can see it go through the Atmosphere. The burst you see is the moment it goes through the Atmosphere.
You guys who think it's a UFO or 2012 w/e are myopic lol.
This happens all the time. Last year (2009) there was one nearly every month..
