    Dedicated Server - Windows Server 2003-2008

    windows server will run any windows executable (might some issue do to different versions or something; but generally this is true). You should have no problem hosting on either. From what I've heard, Windows Server 2008 is the best one yet.

    News: We now have lights working with the SDL engine, although not as nice as the GL engine: It can be used in the GL engine too, though I can't imagine why you'd want to use it. News2: Not to blow any whistles or anything, but we might be having a release this week.

    so you are right. I must've read wrong or forgotten what I read like 6 years ago when 64-bit processors first hit the PC market. apps are not taking 2x more ram on 64-bit, only pointers take twice as much memory.

    if it is the case that it causes a bug, you can always switch skills to uint64_t. This should make you fine for awhile. Alternatively you can modify the skills formula itself instead of the skill rate in order to allow higher skills to be reached (in fact, I don't see why OTServ doesn't do this...

    We don't have lighting yet (someone's working on it for us :D). But yeah, we don't have lighting, so I guess technically using our client to play is cheating. Not that it helps any more than using ambient light at 100% on the official client...
