You're gonna have to do a lot more than that. As far as I'm aware, Medivia is currently the top oldschool otserver. It has tons of additions to the map, new cities and additions to existing maps (i.e. new spawns in thais), new quests and items too. That's what you'd be competing with.

Yes you're right, that would be a lot of work since you can't use Cipsoft assets, you would need to make your own. I guess for that kind of project, it would be best just to do a demo of what the game could be, displaying the gameplay and a small world to test it out in with low quality assets...

Some new vocations would be awesome to try out, makes the game fresh to have new content like new vocations that could completely change the game and make it more fun. Look at Moba games like league of legends, every hero is like it's own vocation and there's a 100+. Different genre sure, but...

I don't know if I missed it, but did you ever do an alpha or a beta? So people can test out your server, it doesn't have to be fully stable and you can get feedback from players too.
