Tarjei and I are working on a solution for the problem that occurred due to some library differences among the developers in our vcs systems. Not much I can say for now other than it's boring to hell and will take some more time.

I posted on our website on 17th of April. Since then, we haven't managed to repair the problem which happened.
It's safe to say that I can't give an accurate date of when it will be fixed, because it appears to be a tough issue and things keep popping in and out of my rl schedule which further prevent me from focusing on working on this. Been having one of the busiest months I've had in years.

If there's anyone out here who has experience resolving differences between linux and windows compilation dependencies (for OTClient), namely the boost library, and would like to help, please PM me.

O boy, I feel the feels. Had to rewrite quite many Lua scripts, because on Linux it reads tables differently.
No idea about compiling differences though. C++ is not my thang.

Yea it's a bummer... Tarjei works exclusively on Linux and I work on windows, so he compiled an update for OTC using the geometry/rtree library, and I have the same one in my boost lib but I can't get it to load properly so I can't compile his changes and make windows distribution no matter what I try.

Small update: Today, Tarjei and I managed to compile and get the client running on windows, but the new features are still malfunctioning. While we still can't release it, it's good to see that we're on a good way to having it fixed. The work continues tomorrow!

For those wondering what we're working on - we're implementing the framework for a dynamic sound system.

Each stone with ores can only be mined one time and then the ores disappears for some minutes, the time depends on the ore type.

nevermind this graphic card wont run client screen but leave it blank gl.
With this ots loses some players. old machines still alive

Yeah, like Croshark said, when you mine a stone it is left barren for a set amount of time, depending on the rarity of the ore.

whats the longest ? how about making mined ore have chance for all other players ( that did not empty this stone to have 1x chance for its ore?

2 hours for gold ingot is the longest one.

No, the project is still in development but we are unable to resolve a critical problem that prevents us from distributing a working client version. As soon as the problem is resolved, the progress will continue as planned.

Keep us posted! Im dying to try this out

You can't connect to localhost because that's not how OpenTibia works (You need the actual server files to do localhost and we're never going to distribute those). Hopefully soon we'll be able to get the server up and running with some neat features.
