Hello guys, anyone used OVH as a hosting? I will try it out today if they answer me, but im wondering if someone used it before and know how to, can you help me then? Its the first time I use a vps/decited server for my tibia server, and btw will the port be open? 3306 80 7171 and 7172. If yiu help me i can pay you a small ammount :)

Okay, care to elaborate?

I understand you don't want it, but for people that isn't good with stuff like that would rather have one of those since those are easier.
Easy means you don't know what the hell is going on on your server. If you absolutely must use Windows, it's much better (and easier) to use IIS + PHP. They can be easily installed, work automatically together and there are good resources online to help you in case of any problems.

You can pretty much setup any server in like 15-30 minutes. Even if you haven't done it before you can simply follow a guide, which can be found on this forum easily.

Take a look here and read some about diffrent companies and Operating Systems:
https://otland.net/threads/introduc...o-look-for-and-what-companies-to-pick.230250/

This guide will help you setup Debian 7 and nginx / phpmyadmin:

With just a few seconds on google you should be able to learn the basics with a SSH client and FTP client.
"How to connect to a server using SSH?"
"How to connect a ftp client using SSH?"
Etc..

I took a quick look on Netcups website and I couldn't find any information about DDoS protection. So I wouldn't use it.

I will never host on Windows, Linux OS is way more flexible and better to customize to fit exactly everything you need.
Also way better in memory handling.

I've been using OVH for almost 2 years now and I'm totally satisfied.

DDoS protection is included though :)
Not as big as OVH if I remember correctly but yep it is there.

If you are new to the linux thing, try to fire up a local virtual machine (Which you can do for free through software like https://www.virtualbox.org/ ). Install Debian or Ubuntu on it, get an OT server running on it. Don't buy a VPS or a dedicated server until you know how to set it up yourself. Especially when you got the resources to install it, reinstall it and learn to your hearts content for free.

If you somehow wanna bet on running your OT on linux without bothering to learn it, Don Daniello's hosting service is your best bet. Unless you can get somebody on your team who offers to do it for you, his service will help you out if you are capable of reading simple instructions.
