Why should people who spent more time and got higher level be at a disadvantage? They lose alot more than a lowlevel when they die. Risk and reward should be equal for everyone. Its shit if you are higher level than the team you are fighting and wont gain levels from it, then you can only lose while the enemy team gets alot of exp when you die.

I have made it 4%, and I totally agree with you, but the thing is, I have never had this system in my server to figure out how it plays in a community, a theory can be great but in reality, it can cause problems, but I am willing to try this system because I currently see no abuse in it, I hope we won't find any during the servers presence either.

A higher player should gain same experience from someone thats 20% of their level..

I dont really see a problem people go and kill people to get exp..
It will always be more effective to gain experience from a spawn/monsters anyway.

True, and that is what we aim to deliever, but it won't be 20% of their level, it will be any level can get XP from any level. That is currently how we made the settings.

It's what I aim to do, and I think most people want that as well especially since most people voted for boosted tombs

Oh, that is actually a great job Iryont have done, I like the algorthim, but I can see it's a logaritm and I can do that myself, I don't have to ask him, but credits to him for coming up with such a balance.

Dear Fribben,
Did not want to disrespect you im sorry for the missunderstanding. This feature is really great and really can make great wars. You should think about it or make poll on community.
Its not that you can fly and spam spells anymore and more mwalling and trapping appears on battles

It's okay mate, you can't do that on OriginalTibia regardless of speed differences, but I understand your point, changing the formula could be balancing things so you don't have that one guy who is marginally higher than everyone and can outspeed them.

Do you want us to change to a similar speed formula? please comment below

In my opinion CIPsoft speed formula really makes no sense becouse at that time game was made for levels 50-100. So i vote for changing the formula, should be the algorithm formula one on every oldschool ot server.

Also you should start putting server on otservlist with day on start even if its 0 online there.

@Fribben I think you should make it something similar. But start with something inbetween. In my opinion the medivia is to "drastic"

I will think about a formula that is appropriate to add, and during the servers presence, I can tweak it further if it is necessary, but there will be a modification done to the basic speed formula.

OriginalTibia.com is starting in 2 weeks(!!), and It's the last day for the Warmongol access offer, if you register an account + character before midnight (that is in approx. 4 hours) you get 48 hours access, after midnight, you only get 24 hours upon registration!

It means exactly as it says, that the walk system is improved, it's everything from map-clicking, follow to normal walking has been rewritten to give a better gaming experience and hopefully bring the same feeling as real tibia did in all aspects of the game.

If you forward the time 2 weeks from now, this will be the day we all prepare for OriginalTibia to start. But starting without an account and a character is not a smart idea, so register now and receive 24 hours war mongol access! (this may even be decreased further by time, so take your chance now)

Maybe you should start advertising a little. Make a thread for this server in the advertisement section on this forum atleast? You only made a thread there for your war-server.

I will do everything in my power to advertise it, but it comes down to what is possible and not. Regarding the advertisement section on OTLand, there's a date limit, it's not possible to create advertisements that is not starting within 7 days. So when that limit passes, I will create a thread there.

Currently configuring the freshly arrived dedicated host. Times flies but reality is about to hit you hard in 11 days So hold yourself tight and put your seat belt on, because I hope it will be the best rollercoaster ride you ever experienced in terms of Tibia wars.

I want to explain the reason why I chose going with the old files instead of going with files that are almost 100% stable, and the reason is because I want to give you a the best gaming experience I can deliver, and this can backfire and cause crashes but I hope for a good start and sincerely hope that you will love this edition.
