It has been quite the first week for Cyntara v10!
Of course, with tons of changes and improvements come a ton of bugs.

What bugs have we squashed in less than a week? Well, almost all of them.

  • Fixed an issue where players were incorrectly being sent down a floor when using certain doors.
  • Fixed an issue where NPC Ashri was not responding correctly to players under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue with the Charms system where players did not receive their Charm Bag.
  • Fixed an issue with the Beginner Island staircase sending players to the wrong destination.
  • Fixed an issue with the Beginner Island where players >100 were being sent to the wrong destination.
  • Removed the level requirement from the Wand of Starstorm.
  • Fixed an issue where the Help Channel and the !promotion talkaction were giving outdated information.
  • Fixed numerous typos and information that was outdated; not worth mentioning them all.
  • Fixed an issue with the Beginner Island where there Frozen were not respawning in the entire area.
  • Fixed an issue with the quest "An Alternate Fate" sending players to the wrong destination.
  • Fixed an issue with the shadow pharaohs where players were unable to enter their tomb, and they overspawned.
  • Improved the teleport logic for the entire HotA quest.
  • Added a information message when players attempt to enter a task boss portal and cannot enter.
  • Updated Kill Statistics to include all new monsters.
  • Fixed an issue with the hourly lottery where it was giving players an incorrect amount of Weapon Upgrader Crystals.
  • Fixed an issue with the crash compensation script where the world did not receive their experience bonus.
  • Improved the crash compensation script, it will now auto save the server `n` number of times for `n` duration to prevent further loss in case of a persisting issue.
  • Opened up some doors in Venore that were previously locked.
  • Added a feature to disallow players from roping certain monsters; this applies mainly to bosses.
  • Adjusted the Dungeon cooldown for non-talisman runs, from 12 hours to 2 hours as the cooldown applies for all non-talisman dungeons.
  • Fixed an issue where players were able to use teleport scrolls while in dungeons.
  • Fixed an issue in The Blight Ruins where a monster was spawning on top of one of the "blocking magic walls" causing players to be able to face The Converted Survivor before The Possessed Survivor.
  • Fixed the crash issue involving dungeons.
  • Adjusted Dhrata's Noxious Guards.
  • You will no longer receive the "You need 4 players to enter a dungeon" message when "using" Boots of Haste.
  • Fixed an issue where players were able to "idle" kick from dungeons.
  • Fixed an issue where players would teleport to the incorrect position when facing 'The Old Widow'.
  • Fixed an issue where Dhrata's dungeon would not "clear" fully if a team fails to defeat her.
  • Fixed an issue where players could enter the Pirate's Pub without the full pirate set.
  • Fixed an issue with NPC Banker Wreckx where he would not send some messages in the correct channel.
  • Fixed the Four Swords quest; "The Guardian" would not curse players appropriately.
  • Fixed an issue where the Cyntara Store was not displaying the correct price for some items. Players that purchased "Lesser Enchantment Crystal", "Enchantment Crystal", "Grand Enchantment Crystal", or "Weapon Upgrader Crystal" will automatically have a refund applied to their account shortly.
  • Fixed an issue where the enchantment "regeneration" was not working properly.
  • Fixed an issue where Dhrata was not casting one of her spells.
  • Fixed an issue where Soul Harvest would become invincible if a team failed to defeat him during their first attempt.
  • The Dungeon Talisman will now be sent to the player's inbox if they do not have any room or capacity to receive it.
  • Fixed an issue where players would receive their first dungeon talisman of the week if they abandoned the dungeon.
  • Created two new player events for future use.
  • Fixed an issue where rope would bug under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a few issues regarding parameters in the /newtype, /hunt, and /guild commands.
  • Added alchemy skill to the !skills command.
  • Fixed an issue with The Rift Wizard's task timer.
  • Fixed an issue with the enemy forces counter in the Blight Ruins dungeon.
  • Fixed an issue with Ultimate Mana Potions where players were not receiving the correct amount of mana.
  • Increased flexibility of the Dungeon System internally.
  • Fixed an issue with the Frag Token Trader where he was selling Eternal Flames for the incorrect price using the wrong keyword.
  • Fixed an issue where events would only give one Cyntara Coin per IP once per server save; players will always receive one Cyntara Coin, per IP address, per event, if the event fails.
  • Enhanced the server's database backing up, a copy of the database now saves hourly for up to 48 hours.
  • Fixed a malfunctioning ramp in Venore.
  • Fixed an issue where Jinx would overspawn at his house.
  • Fixed an issue where regular accounts could not use CTRL + Z to report bugs.
  • Fixed an issue where players were receiving a dungeon cooldown from talisman runs.
  • Fixed an issue where players could receive the "Loot of a" message inside Dungeons.
  • Fixed an issue where players were getting spammed with a message regarding maximum enchantment bonus when wearing rings and amulets with charges.
  • Added a lot of frequently purchased items to the Cyntara Store under the category "Bundles".
  • Fixed an issue with the Blackjack NPC where he was incorrectly valuing Aces as 11 when they should have been valued as 1.
  • Completely rewrote the Anti-Navi MC script; the function only initiates when players enter combat, and will only count the IP addresses of other players in combat.
  • Adjusted Ultimate Healing Runes and Curaga Runes. UH runes now break after every use if your character is above a certain level. Curaga runes have received an overall buff.
  • Fixed an issue where players did not receive the Citizen addons from the Beginner Island; to receive your citizen outfit, simply return to the temple.

Cyntara's first major content update is right around the corner and it's going to be a a phenomenal one. We plan to (fully) implement three new systems, including mining, prey, and alchemy - we even added a few new quests and spawns! We're excited to show this off to to you guys but there is still a few more things which need to be done before we can push the update. For now, you guys may just have to be satiated by a few screenshots.

Where's our update! Cyntara is a great server. Level up, make friends, and start questing / battling bosses for upgrades and better gear. Best thing is the uptime.. It's legitimately up for 100+ hours at a time.
 
I forgot to post the patch notes from a few days ago!

Server

  • Added Dungeon Tokens as rewards from talisman dungeons; players will now receive a new currency upon completion of dungeons after talisman runs. The number of tokens will depend on the talisman level as well as the dungeon completion time.
  • Rewrote the NPCs system to allow for custom currency to be exchanged for items. Future NPCs will be able to trade items for non-gold-type currency exactly as they accept gold-type currency.
  • Added a dynamic world state system - the entire gameworld can now be affected by quest statuses completed by players.
  • Fixed an issue where Crystal Ring was not appropriating the correct enchantment buffs to players when equipped.
  • Fixed an issue with Yakchal's Crypt, which, in rare cases could cause severe side-effects.
  • Added 12 new quest-specific monsters / bosses.
  • Re-enabled high-level raids, such as Ferumbras, The Ringmaster, Orshabaal.
  • Fixed an issue where items were not able to have the "endurance" attribute as a stock attribute.
  • Fixed an issue where players could logout inside dungeons, and during a few niche events. (No Spoilers!)
  • Rewrite the ending of Culex's questline completely. The Holy Icon can now only be obtained 1x per player. The Holy Icon is now a charm. Culex's quest dialogues have been improved. Culex now gives players a brand new improved reward upon completing his quest. Various other improvements to Culex's loot, quest reward, and entire script-base in general.
  • Improved the code base for a few future quests.
  • Added a Loot channel; players are now able to monitor their loot drops in a separate channel.
  • Added a new feature to the server's auto-restarter code to prevent future issues.
  • Added a new system to determine whether a player logs out or disconnects; to be used for future code.
  • Added a Prey System. Tony Bloodhunter (south-west of the temple) will now offer prey tasks to players.
  • Revamped the Illusionist Quest Map.
  • Revamped the Last Creep Standing Quest Map.
  • Revamped 'The Flood' boss. Traditionally, when 'The Flood' was killed, the event was over unless it was a Gamemaster-spawned event. Now, when 'The Flood' is killed, the server will, with random chance, spawn the stronger variation of the boss afterward; furthermore, if the second variation of the boss is killed, the final form now has a chance to spawn automatically - this is the way the boss was always intended to work but did not receive its full functionality until now.
  • Added the Mine Cart Carnage Quest.
  • Finished and implemented the Mining System fully.
  • Added ore spawns to the rest of the server's map.
  • Added the Alchemy 101 Quest (currently disabled due to one small, known issue).
  • Implemented the majority of the Alchemy system's functionality.
  • Revamped the Elves spawn.
  • Fixed an issue where Jinx would sometimes not give the first Assassin addon upon completing the quest.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Battle Tower quest to not function correctly under certain circumstances.
  • Removed the Premium Account requirement to use Offline Trainers.
  • Completely rewrote the Cultist's Piano mini-quest inside the Cultist spawn; players, including Paladins that receive access from The Beginner Quest will still be able to receive the 'Painist' achievement upon using the Piano.
  • Completely rewrote the map mark function to standardize the map marks players can receive upon completing / skipping the Tutorial Island; also improved the quality and number of map marks provided to players.
  • Completely rewrote the Last Creep Standing quest and reward rooms / doors to improve functionality and lessen server load.
  • Cyntara Zone bosses will now reset to their default state if the battle is lost or abandoned. Furthermore, Señor Cookson will no longer be able to "camp" the entry position to the boss room.
  • Fixed an issue where the Battle Tower Attendant could go unresponsive when attempting to turn in Cyntara Coins for Battle Tokens.
  • Created a new spell type to improve the AI of bosses in the future.
  • Improved the Rust Remover script; unrusting items will now result in the item obtained earning between 2 and 4 Enchantment Slots; this should greatly improve the utility of Rust Removers.
  • Fixed an issue where items obtained from quests with Enchantment Slots pre-appended to them were unable to receive up to the (four) maximum enchantment slots.
  • Reimplemented the Battle Pendant's original functionality; upon using the Battle Pendant, players can now cast their Super Spell for half the soul point cost, provided they know the spell and have the required soul points to cast the spell.
  • Completely rewrote and modernized the Zydrate potion script; fixed an issue where players were losing Zydrate's effect inappropriately or not losing it at all in certain cases.
  • Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, bosses refused to cast custom spells. For example, Vegnagun will no longer stop healing if it does not have an open direct trajectory to a player.
  • Fixed an issue where players could access a stub area in the 'An Alternate Fate' quest area.
  • Fixed an issue where players would not get teleported out of the final boss room of the 'An Alternate Fate' quest.
  • Fixed an issue where Exorita required level 1275 to cast instead of level 1250.
  • Added new charm types.
  • Improved the '!kills' command - it will now display the duration of your protection zone lock on a separate line, provided you have attacked another player.
  • Fixed an issue where account storage values were not saving under special circumstances.
  • Added a '!stats' command - You can now view your character's overall stats in one convenient place; you can view elemental protection, critical hit chance, luck, regeneration, skills, etc. It accounts for inherited buffs, equipment buffs, charm buffs, enchantment buffs, elixir buffs, zydrate buffs, and more!
  • Added the groundwork for a new 'Dungeon Chests' reward system.
  • Fixed an issue where the Winged Helmet store offer was sending players the item for the wrong price.
  • Added a new command to allow staff members to more easily distribute custom event rewards to players.
  • Fully implemented the 'Astral Planes' quest.
  • Fully implemented the 'Secret of the Primordial Grounds' quest.
  • Adjusted a number of spawn monsters, including: Wisps, Bog Raiders, Servant Golems, and more.
  • Fixed a few issues with functions that were related to static areas, as we have had many map updates recently.
  • Fixed an issue where players were able to cast haste/strong haste/swift foot while playing Football.
  • Revamped Wyrms spawn.
  • Revamped Deeplings spawn.
  • Fixed an issue where the Depth Lords would not spawn if players had summons in the boss room; furthermore, rewrote an modernized thee entire Depth Lords script.
  • Added Four new spawns: Swamp Lords, Seacrest Serpents, The Primordial Grounds East, The Primordial Grounds West - including at least 9 new monsters.
  • Normalized all regeneration rates. All equipment and enchantments will regenerate per second; this will make it easier for players to track their hp/mana regeneration per second with the '!stats' command.
  • Added a new player exp bonus incentive program that is in effect immediately for all players that are 50% the level of Cyntara's highest level player.
  • Improved the Boss Duel event, the player's spectating area upon death will now allow players to watch the battle on both sides until they're able to respawn.
  • Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, events would not end and players would be stuck.
  • Added a new World Quest, 'Frezellar Island'.

  • Removed 'Ability to use offline trainers' from 'Premium Benefits' popover.
  • Fixed two instances of incorrect guild level requirement messages.
  • Fixed an issue where unknown enchantments would appear on the item information popover.
  • Added a 'Professions' tab to the character view page, displaying skills such as: Enchanting, Mining, Alchemy.
  • Fixed an issue where 'health percent' and 'mana percent' stats were not being loaded into the Armory pages.
  • Added a notice to the Dungeon Leaderboard page stating that the dungeon's talsiman runs reset every week.
  • Added new creatures to the Kills Stats page.
  • Improved the character name check
  • Fixed an issue where players donating via PayGol did not receive Cyntara Coins automatically.
  • Added a link to the Account Recovery system on the login page.
  • Retired the WYSIWYG editor; the decision was made to remove the inline editor as it was causing more difficulty than it was worth for most users.
  • Added a markup cheatsheet for users to know which bbcode is allowed and an example of its use.

When making real suggestions (not that yours wasn't, it's that people like to occasionally spam #general with nonsensical suggestions), then post it in #suggestions. I believe you said you could see it now? If that doesn't work for whatever reason, feel free to post it on our forums and I'll crosspost it to #suggestions.
