If you're still working on this i'd love to do some mapping for ya just to be part of this.. I have my own project so im not talking about anything huge, but as said, would definately put in some hours to help this just to see it succeed and be part of it! :)

As others said, 5.0 was buggy.. but the trapping with energy/fire-bombs of monsters etc were not "bugs".. that statement is hilarious :) Anyways, the bugs is ofcourse all gone if this is based on the 7.client.

Do you have any idea if it would be difficult to make characters/monsters move like 5.0 on a 8.6 client? That's one of the things I hated most when 7.0 came.. I stopped playing 1 month after that update... :p

You just need Sprites of Tibia 5.0, there is a tool on this forum that is able to extract 5.0 Sprites if I'm not wrong, then you could add them all to 8.6 .spr file (this will make you a little work, thought it can be fast when you know what you're doing). then you could just make an .otbm with that using OTitemEditor and copy this to your RME, there you could map the whole thing from 0 and it would be working, yes.

But I'd be more of a Fan if you'd do it on Tibia 5 or 6.0 instead :D -> Hex Editing and Source edit for Connecting with the client. You might have a help from good c++ Developers here if you present such a project.

There is no public tool to extracting pre-7.0 sprites. I know it because i have search it for years.
I am owning extractor written by myself and only i have one copy.
I do not need help of developers but mappers. Otherwise i will finish it in december 2017

Movement is a result of some asm modification in Tibia 7.72 client.
Project is slowly growing up due to my lack of team and time

But as I said, i dont have time and this is my curse

Someone else noticed this at -4 floor from Rookgaard?

-4 floor from leaked map by Dennis:

Viper's minimaps are totally accurate, that small piece of undiscovered map can be seen in other old screenshots from the photos archives by Dark Gladir:

Anyone knows anything about that cave?

@Mooh I think that's the old pickhole to get the key to chain armor quest. It used to be on the floor above (with only orcs) and back then it was a silver/bronze key (they changed from one to the other). I'm fairly sure it was moved to the current location next to the table before the leak happened in 7.7.

Edit: It seems like the leaked map also contains artifacts of this room. I marked the location of the old pick hole too:

Source: I used to be a rookstayer back in the days.

Hi, someone linked this thread to me.

It was not possible to enter this cavern before picks were introduced on rookgaard. Cipsoft removed this place probably around 2003, it was not part of the chain armor/copper key quest.

More about the bear room key:

Quote:
"In the begining on Rookgaard, quest items were possible to be gathered multiple times by the same player, and respawned at least 3 times a day, during the automatic map clean (similarly to a poison arrow on minotaur hell today).

Some of the quest items appeared less frequently than other, for instance - silver key #4601, which could be collected after a map reset (similarly to pot and urine today) in the wolves' body, that lied in the place of the table, near chain armor quest.
Map reset occurs during major updates, and at that time they were way more frequent than these days, so the rare key was respawning once around few weeks."

If you want to know more about changes on rookgaard since it's creation check out this topic:
Chronology of Rookgaard (1997 - 2000) [english version]

@Dark Gladir From what I remembered that's where you got the silver key (which was used to open the chain armor quest before they added the room with the copper key later). Of course it's been 15 years so memories can fade together. What did you say the room was used for?

@Worr
Silver key was spawning in a dead wolf near the lever next to the bear room.
The cavern (room) wasn't connected to the quest.

@Worr
No, I wasn't playing then, I think they removed it in 2003.
None of the old players ever mentioned this cavers being connected to any quest or containing any items.

@Dark Gladir Hmm, would be interesting to investigate it but I have no idea where to start. I was one of those old players who was a rookstayer back then and I have a very strong memory of that cave being where you looted the silverkey for chain armor quest.

The quest line back then as far as I remember was:
1. Find small axe in orc cave and trade it for pick axe in the shop.
2. Pick the hole to get the silver key.
3. Enter the bear room with the key.

its still working that way xd

@Felipe93 I didn't clarify it very well, but I meant the pick hole in the orc cave one floor above the bear room (not the one next to the table in the final floor).
