Welcome to auda's Mapping!

It's been a loong time since I last did anything Tibia-related, and lately I've been missing the mapping part of it. So I've decided to give mapping a new go. I've moved up from 7.4 (which I did last time) to 10.98.

Now, I haven't planned anything but I'm probably going to finish this whole thing, I work that way. Last time I was casually mapping I actually managed to 'finish' a project. Now, I'm not a great designer, I'm not very creative in a 'think outside the box'-way, I love CipSoft's map and my mapping style therefore is probably similar to theirs. Very minimalistic and RPG-friendly.

Also, I've never really been good at making intersting roofs, but after checking out 2Rec's mapping I kinda knew where to go from there.
He's probably not the first to do this type of roofing, but that's where I got the idea from. So props to him and check out his mapping thread!

nice. clean map. But I think you are overusing the mountain border / it looses its flavor. Try using stone flooring border sometimes.

That's a great tips. The reason behind me not using those other borders is because I've never liked them, but maybe if use them in here and there the other borders won't loose their flavor, as you said. Thanks!

Dont listen to Lyky he doesn't know what he is talking about, it is the only mountain border you should use since the other one looks like crap (ofc personal preference, @Lyky dont be offended)
I think the maps are great btw :)

I'm bumping up my old mapping thread to announce that I'm back doing some mapping. I've started more or less from fresh and will be taking on the challenge to create a continent with desert as biotope on 10.98. For now I'll just tease with the actual world mass.

Back with some basic shit. Working on a desert continent and am currently working on getting the city/settlement just right. Not quite there yet, so no teasers of that yet. These pieces aren't super interesting but I just wanted to get something out there. There will be a lot more interesting and complete stuff soon!

That doesn't work. It's still daylight on floors 7 and above. My solution to get better shots of the village was to move it down underground lol. Thanks though!
 
ahh change the time of the game then not sure if there is command to force nighttime but try using item Watch and just waiting it out xD
