It's very unlikely you have 50 ms ping from Netherlands to Quebec. That'd be around physical limit or even faster.
What's shown in Medivia client is not ping but "latency", which actually equals half your ping. Ping 100 is realistic.

Is the Mainlad update going to be introduced at the start of Unity? Or still in progress?

This is legit? I'm allowed to have two of my characters online in same world on the same account? Was hoping to save having to buy a extra premium for the girlfriend lool.
 
But must have two separate accounts to do so. So wouldn't work for the scenario you're thinking about. Unless you wannabe on different worlds

It is still in progress, but not far from being done as far as I can tell. Currently we do have a test server for tutors only, but I do plan to open public test server soon enough.

My post within changelog will actually answer your question, so let me quote it:

Dear players

As promised wisdom scrolls will be removed on the launch of Unity, so everyone will have an equal chance to go through it (whether you are free or a premium player).

However, as the new tutorial we are currently working is still in progress and won't be ready for Unity we have decided on the following:

  • Experience stage below level 8 on Novus will be increased 4 times over normal Medivia rate.
  • Novus spawn rate will be increased 20 times (as it was on every other world launching)
  • Chance for rat raid on Novus to trigger will be increased by a fair amount.

Those changes are only for Unity and everything will be back to normal on Monday at the server save.

Please note that we are expecting a fair amount of players and we would like Novus to be as painless experience as possible.

Maybe you should tell people that they can buy food that keeps the regeneration going for 8 hours, and mailboxes that can be used anywhere, for real life money. I mean surely you want to tell your future customers about the great features you added?

Oh you're probably right, not really into all that stuff. Nevertheless I haven't really experienced any lags or freezes on pendulum so far, so I suppose Unity Will be the same.
