I stumbled across an old screenshot i found on my ancient hard drive. I figured this would be a good time to post my map "Nutopia's" progress over the years. The first screenshot is taken in 2011 and the second screenshot today 2020. My map has gone through many iterations over the years and its cool that i can show its progress after finding the original screenshot. Obviously i haven't been working on it full time for 9 years but since i added it to my steam tracker around 2013 i have spent 1899 hours on it. Not all assets used in the map are mine, thats explained in my map release threads but all the map foundation and generation of base level terrain is pretty much all my my own with the exception of a couple areas. A large portion of the map is also mapped by myself. I have found that even though using other assets from other maps its still a huge time sync incorporating them appropriately and making the map flow properly. In total i would have easily spent over 2.3k hours on this map. As i use public assets i do release my map at various points in its development (see my signature for an older version). Ill eventually release another version. My plan before i release another public version is to go over the old areas and dress them up a bit as you can clearly see the time difference between some locations when looking up close.
