How can I check which protocol version is used by TFS-master?
Also, where can I find server's logs?

I am trying to connect with 12.86, but immediately after selecting character I get Connection to gameserver "tcp://127.0.0.1:7172" "Forgotten" was disconnected ( "The remote host closed the connection" ). There are no logs on server's stdout.

I am wondering if this is caused by a version mismatch or I am doing something wrong.

The The remote host closed the connection is caused by wrong RSA key. Funny how no tutorial I found mentioned that it needs to be changed.

The Unknown Gameserver Message: 0 issue does not happen on a Windows client (earlier I tried Linux client on the same machine I ran the server). Does TFS not support Linux client or should I open an issue on github?

The issue has been resolved a few minutes ago (Fix checksum mode for new Qt client ids by ranisalt · Pull Request #4088 · otland/forgottenserver (https://github.com/otland/forgottenserver/pull/4088)). Amazing to see how TFS is able to keep up with new client releases.
supported versions are 12.80-12.86

you need a login.php in order to connect, more info here:

Thanks. I found it in src/definitions.h

While the issue persists on the official 12.86 client, I got a 12.81 client.

It manages to log in (at least that what server's log says), but immediately afterwards an exception is thrown killing the client: Unknown Gameserver Message: 0. Some of the times the client does not crash, let's me log in and after I perform 1 action (walk into any direction, use an item) the connection gets lost.

Has anyone ever encountered this issue?

I am using ZnoteAAC-v2 + TFS-master. I had to change char's town_id as default was 6 (Carlin) but accepted values are 1-5. Anything else to watch out for?
