What will happen to your PC/files when you die?

Lately I've been thinking about what will happen to everything I have on my pc:
  • projects nobody ever knew
  • private photos
  • releases planned for the community
  • paid stuff
  • art stuff
  • game accounts

and specifically, to let communities you care, know that you passed away.

Yeah, sorry for the morbid theme, but I found it necessary, specially after watching this video:

Why the hell did I posted it at technology?
The answer is simple, facebook for example have a few useful settings that you can assign trusted people to manage your profile in case of death and etc.
Google account have a setting to remove your whole account if you don't login for a set amount of time, etc.

What I'm asking?
Is there any known software or other thing that would deal with this type of stuff?
for example, I set a trusted rl person and he could trigger a remote program or send an email or something
and it would send a few folders to github/gdrive/etc (and delete a few files/folders from my pc that I don't want anyone to have access ever), and a preset message with instructions to a few email addresses.

Remember: no, I'm not killing myself, or planning to die anytime soon
I just want to have some sort of plan to make the stuff on my pc useful since I won't be using it anymore (😂)
And let people know what happened as they have no rl contact whatsoever and just disappearing out of a sudden would just be weird and confusing

Write a will or testament. That’s usually how people get stuff done after their death.
Relying on a person close to you would be better in this case than relying on a computer.

Yes, write yourself an unread personal message on facebook, adressed to your future assigned trusted person to manage your profile in case of death, containing a link to your personal files on Google drive and express your will to forward them in a chain mail that they must pass on to atleast 9 others or else you will haunt them for the next 9 years...

Either they're going to be absolutely horrified or go "yeah, checks out", wipe my pc and give it to my kids then eventually I'll be forgotten forever just like anyone else.
Truth is that you are forgotten very fast after death, regardless of what you achieved unless you're a celebrity and loved ones will most likely not do anything other than wipe and reuse or keep and never touch our pcs(for one generation then it goes lol).

Some password managers have similar features as FB where the account can be taken over by someone you trusted. If you keep your files in the cloud such as gdrive they could then access those files and share them.

Steps to follow
  • Create a server, you can use Python for ease.
  • Make sure this app will be running for a long time, long enough.
  • The main task of this server is to send you a notification to your cell phone or to your email with a warning message, you must respond and confirm that you are alive.
  • If enough time passes and you do not confirm that you are alive, the server will send your will to a trusted email or cell phone.
  • The warnings could have a waiting time of 1 month so that they do not bother you so much.
  • If you fail to confirm that you are alive for at least 3 attempts, your information will be released, your private repositories will be public and much more.

This way you have your own system 😂

the server will send your will to a trusted email or cell phone
Then this trusted email or cell phone number is no longer used and you have to update it, but then the person you trusted is no longer trustworthy so you have to update all the info again. Ugh... at this point just kill me already.

At Build software better, together (https://github.com/settings/admin) you can set a successor for all your repositories in case you die
