In this post I don't want to complain, but point out a certain thing and maybe warn someone against making my mistake. Mainly for people who carry out any paid jobs in otland. (and not only)

The situation started normally. I got a message on discord asking me to codee ots template. Everything has been settled. I always ask to send half of the payment before and half after when the project is ready and the client is satisfied (this is for the safety of both sides, but I will come back to that later)

The person sent me both payments, the last one on August 8, everything was done as agreed on the discord and the server for which the layout was coded even worked for about a week. (megaglobal.com.br)

On August 25, I got a message from paypal that the buyer "opened the case" and the subject of the purchase, according to him, is not as described. The case was opened for both payments. This person wrote generally things that were out of the a**, that some bugs were not fixed and that his template is being sold on the forum. He even included a screen showing another template made by me, belonging to a completely different person. Lie after lie...

Yes, it was a job to code the layout of the page, not to fix his other account maker bugs...

And here is what he send to paypal as "selling his website on forum"

while this is the page he wanted to be coded for him.

At the moment when I knew that I had come across an ordinary scammer, whose server failed and he tried to recover some of money, I opened my own claim. Unfortunately, paypal does not take into account any evidence that does not include the name and surname or any personal data of the person. Discord screenshots were useless in this case. The scammer could write whatever he wanted and still it was just a fight of his word against my word. Of course, paypal considered him as the aggrieved party, probably always working in favor of the buyer. In addition, I was fined $ 12 for losing the dispute. Penalty was imposed twice because there were two payments. (Payments that were split into two for safety, and thanks to them, I lost twice as much money)

I made a few mistakes. For sure now I will keep an eye on how the payment is sent. In addition, my mistake was not to search the otland well. This person already has crimes of his own, such as stealing sprites from other servers. Yes, using someone else's design for which they paid without their knowledge or consent is THEFT. His otland account: Jora (jora (https://otland.net/members/jora.232611/)) and his discord: MegaGlobalServer#6394

I wanted to share it for the benefit of the public, because in a few years of doing various things I didn't come across such a sneaky guy and I didn't expect that paypal could work so much to my disadvantage. I lost on paypal but here I can show the truth.

At the end, good luck to everyone, be careful and don't run into scammers.

I'm waiting for Paypal to finally add a sell option without chargeback, obviously with a clear message to the buyer about it, let the customer make the decision.
There are also people on my server who chargeback, but luckily Paypal is always by my side.
However, before they understood the situation, I called many times and explained what my job was.

@Pinama Dude that sucks. Sorry for your loss. Regarding: "Unfortunately, paypal does not take into account any evidence that does not include the name and surname or any personal data of the person."

How do you as the seller circumvent this? Where does communcation happen where someone uses their real name?

@4drik , what evidence do you have to keep paypal "choosing ur side"? How does one prove that a player for example received a donation, and that it wasn't taken away from them at any point of time?

? U cannot buy things without offering MONEY BACK.

ITs a law in every country paypal has to follow.

if you do not want it, move to a 5th world country and use stones
And if you run your bisness right, where there is barely any chragebacks. they will side with you more often, but ofc such shit servers that reset every month will obviously have problems with chragebacks

I try to accept it with humility because it happens to me maybe once in a few years? It just happens and you have to accept it.
The money return option is needed but used fairly. But there can be people with bad intentions on both sides, no need to generalize.

In addition, contacting paypal itself is a massacre. Only a third person was able to provide me with any information, and each employee told me other stuff.

The fact that there would not be a button that would immediately charge back the payment does not mean that it would not be possible to judge and prove that the goods were broken or the service was not done.

Suppose you are a Neanderthal and you are giving a massage to some Lord. The Lord uses your services for an hour and then says - OK, nothing happend, give back the stone, Neanderthal. Currently, Paypal is forcing you to return the stone and prove that you did the massage.
Only when you send the monitoring how you did the massage - Paypal will give you back the stone. It should be different. Paypal should take the stone from you the moment you say you have no monitoring or any proof that you have been doing the massage. Not only that, in this story, where you are a Neanderthal, you performed a service and saw your Lord, you know what he looks like. If he scam you, you will not perform the service a second time. The problem with Paypal is that Your Lord scammer is incognito.
