the game was much different back then, perhaps it was intended back when they weren't sure which direction they were going to take

any technical details on how the map is being edited?
do you use otbm format together with otb file or something older?
did you generate spr/dat files or you rewrote the mapeditor to support older formats?

It's protocol 7.72. I replaced sprites and I'm editing the server and gonna edit OTClient to work like the old client.
 
I think a big challenge for this project would be to let people know about it. I only found out about it because of your signature (should you update?). I find it charming and interesting and wish it were to get more traction. Any plans to accomplish that?
 
@Peonso amazing work, really fun server to play. I have some little feed aswell.
  • I'm having real troubles to equip/unequip weapons and inventory items. Also dragging gold coins into bag. I think the square trigger from the inventory is too small, or gives the impression that can only be triggered on the edges.
  • I don't know how to send PM messages to other players, I saw in the logs that someone logged in but couldn't send him a message.
Being honest, I haven't logged into a server more than a day to play for a few minutes/hours since the start of Tibianic (Medivia). This really catched me up, so keep going, you're doing a really great job with Fossil.

Kinda busy in real life, I couldn't push public the last client build because it still has some bugs, but you can see the panels mechanics are getting there:


Once it's ready, its fixing the layout of last panels missing (containers/battle), client top menus, and sone other windows and it will be mostly ready. People will find it hard to play as it was in the past, as you won't be able to have battle window and and a backpack open at the same time, or check your health while having the minimap available.
