Greetings all you Beautiful People of OTland!
The day is finally here! I have read so many stories here on OTland about people trying to make 100% custom RP servers from scratch and never being able to finish them because of the insane scale of such a project. And yeah, in hindsight it has been a massive project. But it has been an amazing journey! It has been so much joy working on Crimson OTs. Right now it feels amazing to be able to proudly present this wonderful world to you. It has taken over five years, and now, it is time to start opening up this server to the public! F*** YES!
So, yeah, this thread is being posted in jobs, not in the servers gala. The Crimson OT is on the brink of a full scale release. Given how big this project is it still seems like testing it on a smaller scale before opening it up to everybody would be the most reasonable thing to do. The Crimson OT has already been tested thoroughly. The next step to further assure the quality of the Crimson OT is to test it with a slightly larger group of players. So that is why I am making this thread. To find a bunch of people that can help out with this quality testing phase.
About the Server
A Truly Unique Server
Crimson has a 100% custom map unlike anything you have ever seen before. The game world is created in such a way that reduces the need to travel large distances. The many different areas of the world is designed to enable advanced PvP, by having loads of different paths to run around. With many cliffs to levitate up and down from, with places to use your rope and shovel and with narrow passages to wall off attackers. I could keep on describing the different aspects of game design here, but for now I think this will do. There is only one last thing I wish to talk about that really makes the Crimson OT into an truly extraordinary world to explore: The PvP!
The Crimson OT has an unique PvP system with some resemblance to the old school PvP enforced system. The most important aspect is that the Crimson OT does not offer any kind of protection for items in PvP! This means that a player can kill other players to get their precious gear and loot. To be more specific, the AoL only works in PvE. And the blessings will only protect your experience and skills. The PvP blessing is enabled to save you some costs when dying to players. This system might sound crazy, but trust me, once you try it out you will see how amazing the atmosphere of the world feels. The danger. The need to stick together with your friends. The need to respect everyone you meet and make sure you do not make any new enemies. This is essential and basically the reason why I made this server in the first place.

You can get a temporary account for three days to see if you enjoy the server before comitting to any actual testing. The server uses daily quests which gives out high XP rewards, which results in a system that rewards casual gameplay, rather than grinding for long sessions. Players can still grind ofcourse, if they want to, but the game is designed to try to only give aesthetic rewards such as mounts and outfits for grindy tasks.

- Custom spells and items:
- Crimson OTs has some custom stats on items and a few custom spells. The way items are used are however very similar to CipSoft Tibia.
- Custom monsters and bosses
- There are over 20 custom bosses with unique spells and behaviour unlike anything you have ever seen in CipSoft tibia.
- Custom scripts
- Over 1000 custom scripts specifically tailored for the Crimson OT!
- Examples include autoloot, dailyquests with scripted dialogue and other unique features
