I made new game out of Tibia

Hey, the little update today! Since the map is huge and the castle is quite to big to walk around as well. Once you advance in levels you will be rewarded with different mounts which will help you to move around way faster than feet!

Yo, there we have the latest progress of raid system. Which is pretty much in good state as far as I can test it its effective and highly configurable for variety of different scenarios. So, the final state for MVP to start looks like that. You speak with NPC and select the raid. Once you select the raid you are teleported to the raid room and you have 120 seconds to either die or kill every single monster which will lead to raid completion. When in raid you are able to use every single troop available from your barracks. If the troop dies it doesn't remove from barracks slot so you don't have to repurchase troops when they die in raids. Also, when you are in raid someone can challenge your castle so your barracks will act normal and will spawn troops to fight for and will have no impact to regular siege just like you are outside of castle or simply logged off. This is the picture of me fighting with my troops in the raid room against second level wolves raid. You can see through minimap that the raid room is pretty small but enough to strategy the best to win the raid.

I think I will open beta really really soon!

Furthermore, from now on will be working again on balancing changes and probably the next post from me will be a video post how the game actually looks and feels to play! Some images so that the post won't look blank :)

Nice game bro! Keep doing!!! You're not alone dude. I'm also developing something from scratch with tibia source files for 4 years, all by myself.

I also included some farm mechanics but I created some industries. I've been searching about industrial steps to create simple things, such as paper, or iron. It's really intresting for me, and I learn a lot. Maybe this could be a good idea for your game bro!

Balancing schemes are very hard indeed, but keep testing and look for players to test with you!

So, during the weekend I did quite a few stuff. Starting with I started building the website and you may take a look at first attempt of trying designing the web: Only Fortress (https://www.onlyfortress.online/) I am not using any of the AAC and the website will be a clean place where you download the client. Everything else, about game statistics account registration will be embedded in client. And today I have just finished implementing account creation through client and it looks simple but creates the character through HTTP endpoint.

All in all, will be creating video content really soon and in hope of starting server as open beta soon too!
 
First video, sorry if it looks and sounds too homie but I am just the beginner content creator and probably seeking for full professionalism is not what I should seek and rather than that I focus and spend time on game development.
 
Yo, the latest features are this!

Market owner now has to pay daily toll for the fortress lord. Every day you may get random resource reward of 300 to to 600 each.


Every daily login is granted with fortress protection from 2 to 4 hours randomly free of charge.


New interacting feature with resource NPCs. Now when you step on harvesting tile the NPCs will react on your event!


And the open beta start date is set! You may found more info in the website through my signature :)

man you need to develop a castle vs castle siege (pvp or AI) that would be dope.
It would be really dope. And I am in plans of implementing real sieges as with players just with some kind of bots. However this content won't be available in open beta. But your idea is great and something very similarly I have had in my mind too.

fast paced combatinho
I am really seeking to make the game fast paced, where you login and have enough of everything to build yourself and then go access some cool content like go raids and go search for other player fortresses. I am seeking to have that much content that new player logins to world and has easy 2-3 hours of content which is really interesting and easily available for him. However the game is idle based. After your happy play you should come like the next day and collect all the resources you can and achieve even more content by upgrading your military buildings access more troops and go with harder more interesting raids and stuff. However I am still in progress with lots of content to keep player active and busy for weeks now I think I can only days.

That is why I am opening an open beta and I hope to gather all the information how the players feel in the game. How fast do they get bored? What were the chances that you login the second day and how do you feel with all the content today, am I in the correct path or I need changes in the basics of the the mechanics.

Since the open beta is two days away I am really preparing with the launch and for that reason I created a quick client guide which is always available for you to answer the common questions.

The latest update so far! I am working on spell leveling or in other words spell upgrades. The spell leveling can be done through the spell list for a specific amount of gold. Every single spell will have different max level and different costs. From now on will be working on every spell balance changes and new mechanics after spell upgrade.

You should work on the upgrade system of the farm buildings, or increase the skill rate of these so that they give better rewards when claiming them.
