Sounds like a great server, however he only care about printing as much money as possible
He believes the slower/harder the better, he doesnt understand that tibiantis only succeded because of the timeing (beginnin of covid-propaganda)

Keep in mind when people are buying runes from Venezuelans they could actually be buying runes from the server owner himself.

I'm not sure whether you're saying that we should be selling runes, or if you're accusing us of pretending to be Venezuelans selling runes to people. But it's hard to believe someone would come up with such a hilarious conspiracy theory, so I'll assume it's the first, especially since you quoted a post that directly suggested "adding runes to shop".

There's a huge difference when players trade items between them and when they can buy them from the game itself. In the first case you can only get items that someone (other players) worked for. While in the latter the server creates items with no limit and no effort behind them. So obviously, it is not the same, and that's why we will never offer any such stuff, but we have no control over players mutual deals.

Yea, because every single OTS that started around 2020 has succeded and is still relevant 3 years later. You must be right.

its not news that alot of players specially from North America (Since the server its hosted in EU) are waiting for an announcement of Kay launching a new server hosted in NA, but it wont happen anytime soon, i literally started collegue when the server was launched and im about to finish my degree, lol so my tibia time as come to an end, hopefully newer generations can enjoy the hopefully one day incoming of a new server, prolly i will have kids by the time it gets announced

I actually liked to play on tibiantis when I had my head offline. On the other hand I have to say, the more I thought, I realized that tibiantis is moreover pay to win if you have a job and not pay to win, if you just sit at home.
I mean, everything is really difficult.

If you have a fulltime job:
You can only have advantages, If you buy cash or runes from Venezuelans with real money.

If you havent got a job:
In this case you only create or buy many many many bed mages and take care of them in every possible moment.

We always have to remember, that its 2023.
Times where companies awaits 200% from their employees.
I dont remember when it was 7.4. (maybe like 2004?)
In this times the situation was a bit more relax, not well though.
We were younger, less soul deseases caused by jobs. You had more free time.




What I wanna say is the following: And yeah, my word has not really a weight

Server like Tibiantis need a balance.

You cant make it to difficult for casual players. There would be a to big difference between them and No lifers.

You need other rates, another system, another I dont know.

I could handle out a good idea, but it would be a shot at myself, If I deliver a idea public in the otland.net forum xD

agree but it was the same back in time
many top players(if not most of them) were botting, multiclienting, sharing accounts or buying supplies for rl money
causal players were playing 1-2h per day on their knights killing rotworms or just standing in dp talking with their friends

there are many other servers that are easier than tibiantis and such

This has nothing to do with year 2023 or 2004. You can't expect people who play the game not to have advantage over those who don't play (due to the lack of time, or other reasons). Making it easier only makes the server age faster and thus end sooner, which is actually way WORSE for casual players.

Any game where you benefit from being online, and any game where there is free flow of items between players - is going to be play to win or pay to win in that sense. No matter what rates you put in, there's always gonna be those people who are more dedicated, who will play more or spend money. No matter how much easier you make the game, it's going to be easier for everyone and those people will keep their advantage.

None of this stops you from playing casually and enjoying your time though. Needless to say that Tibiantis has been online for over 3 years now (which, ironically, is possible mostly thanks to its difficulty). Enough time to achieve anything, including very high levels, by playing "casually" only and not spending a penny. The problem is that you don't seem to actually want to play casually. Judging by what you are saying, you would like to be one of those power gamers without power gaming or you would like to achieve everything that requires time and effort - in no time. How is that a "balance"?

When NA server my dear Kay?
we are getting old and community smaller everday. First server went well and people is loyal to it it wont kill the current server.. its only unfounded fear imo.

Also I believe because the offer you make of staying pure 7.4 makes you limited in offering new features and improvments... then sooner or later you are forced to make new server based on the size of the community and possibilities if you stay loyal to your style. Its part of the progress, if you are looking for progress of course. pozdro

Its hard to host 2 servers and maintaining them, the amount of time spent on catching every cheater would be really hard to do on 2x servers, which means that one server wouldn't get as much attention as the other one

Anyone looking to start here? Want to play but would ideally like some English speaking guys to start on the server with.

You should make a new server, you managed to get a big oldschool community in 2023 which is awesome!

Also, if you go kinky with it (maybe 2x,3x or even pvp-e) you won't lose players from your vanilla server. Eventually, when the original server starts getting emptier you have another server they can migrate to.

Thing is, is that level 200+s on a 1x server is really discouraging people to start.
