Knightwatch, in greater depth:
Knightwatch is a Tibia 7.8+ server built on fusion32’s decompiled 7.7 binary, meticulously extended to recreate Tibia as it existed in 2006. The goal is simple: to offer a free, truly authentic 7.8 experience without reliance on incomplete or buggy engines and datapacks. This makes Knightwatch the first and only 7.8-era server of its kind: every core system comes directly from the original engine, not adapted from existing open-source servers riddled with inaccuracies. Every quest, formula, spell, mechanic, raid, and system isn’t just “like” the original—it is the original.
Knightwatch has been developed to support Tibia protocols from 7.8 - 8.0. All content up to 8.0 has already been completed and is ready to be included as content patches over time, including items, monsters, spells, quests, NPCs, and maps. The intention is to give players something to look forward to and have the game world evolve over time, with the hope of preventing the server from growing stale or stalling out.
While keeping the “7.8 feel” is a top priority, we have made some minor but impactful custom quality of life improvements:
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Knightwatch is completely free. All players have access to all content, including spells, cities, boats, carpets, outfits, addons, promotions, and houses. There are no “golden accounts”, “premium scrolls”, “donation points” or any pay-to-win of any kind.
From now until launch, I will post some screenshots of gameplay to help fuel the 2006-era nostalgia. We hope you will join us in Knightwatch, visit the site and make an account today!

While keeping the “7.8 feel” is a top priority, we have made some minor but impactful custom quality of life improvements:
- Shared experience has been introduced (from version 8.1). We believe shared experience as a feature is a net benefit to players, encouraging team hunting and building community. Full client UI integration to enable/disable shared experience (no commands).
- Bonus experience will be in effect for the first 2 hours of stamina, and the amount of bonus experience you receive is dynamic based on your level compared to the highest level player in the server.
- Stamina has been modified so that regeneration begins 10 minutes after the last experience gained, no matter if the player is offline or online. This way, players will not be “punished” for staying online and doing other activities (skill training, making runes, chatting with friends) after their bonus period is over.
- No “corpse ownership” system. Originally introduced in 7.8, this system was designed to protect new players from having their loot stolen by more experienced players. Just about everyone is a veteran player these days, so this system is a nuisance instead of a benefit.
