    Ye, I had a problem like that once I solved it by Limiting the Cap to a specific number. I guess in your case, players have infinite cap. When they die, the server needs to process all of their items carried, which could take quite some time. Try to set a limit of players cap. :)

    The SQL Database problem... have you made sure you entered the correct databaseName in config.lua? Also, have you chosen the correct SQL-Type (MySql/SQLite)? ;)
