    I'd choose both A and B. The more general quests should have map marks or atleast mark an area like... The secret tomb might be in this area. And the more secret quests should be in books and stories.

    I don't like the transition between the cave and the grass mountains. I think its the contrast between the cave, grass and mountain. Maybe its just my personal preference.

    Some versatility isn't a bad thing tho, but try not to overdo it. If you feel like: "MMmmmh am I overdoing it or not?" Yes, you are. If you doubt about a piece its because you don't like it or you're not satisfied. While modifying it and you still doubting it. Delete it OR keep it as a reminder...
