    if a lot of people use bot is because part of the game isn't fun at all or it isn't ( lvling ) so i believe they should think about it, and make some change. I used to bot just for then kill people when the game turned bored for me.

    the fix is filter everything you store in the db with a function that deletes " < / ? " an some other symbols, search about regex. for avoid this things, you have to think that the user is some like a bad person, and everything he can write, modify etc could be a hole.

    your router use port 80 to admin his setting, the same port as normal websites, you have to put another port like 8080 or 81 or whatever for your website, but it will look like www.blabla.com:8080
