    I'm 34 on Brass, trying to get Charmander until level 35 then use my Golbat to bust some kneecaps. I have pokemon for like every situation so I don't really have a main team. For Charmander I just use Cubone, Squirtle, Goldeen, Poliwag, Abra (just to teleport if im lazy), and Ponyta.

    Fishing is good exp until level 18 (assuming you get a Bellsprout), then you should get a Pidgey and do Mankeys.

    Mankey is a really good pokemon. Also, Magnemite destroys flying pokemon, so maybe try to get one of those.

    You could try hunting Ponyta if you have a few good water pokemon. I myself use 2 goldeen 1 poliwag and 1 mankey for my ponyta hunting, and I usually can kill a ton before having to go back to town and heal. What I do is spam Goldeen's attacks, starting with Super Sonic, and then put in Mankey...
