I found this on Reddit and thought it might be interesting to some. It has a chart over all the components including stuff like game servers, login servers, database, query managers and each node has some bullet points with reasoning, pros/cons, lessons learned and so on.

I was awarded the 5 year veteran (or more) yesterday and I registered this user in 2011. It's obviously not a big issue, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

I've found this tools to record cams with Tibia but I'm unsure how to compile it. Are there any good guides on how to compile? I've checked around on Otland and searched in other places too but I haven't found a solution so far. Nottinghster/Original-Tools @Nottinghster

I occasionally get questions on these topics and even though Otland doesn't have a huge community dedicated to video editing I think many "ordinary" OT players tried making at one at some point. It could be both basic settings and features/techniques to use as well as more advanced tutorials...

It seems like tibia.pic is limited to 640*480 by default, but does anyone what is required to change this? The biggest issue is that the old client forces a background with a 4:3 resolution which means almost everyone will have a distorted widescreen background picture.
