8.22 to 8.3

Sup everyone.
Was wondering about going from 8.22 to 8.3 by just modifying the CLIENT_VERSION in the source code, but for some reason tibia 8.3 client doesn’t accept it this way, so...

Is it going to require updating the map from 8.2 version to 8.3 also?? thought it shouldn’t cause it's the same OTBv3 or not??.. but if this map update to 8.3 is required anyone know when any map editor is going to be compatible with this... or if someone already got his server working with 8.3 from just changing their CLIENT_VERSION in the source, could you post a small STEP BY STEP to do this... thanks in advance..

The packets the server sends to client includes a checksum which is using adler algorithm (Adler-32 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), so it isn't enough to just change the client version in server.

Thanks...now that I'm seeing this I feel more unprepared and noobysh than I thought ..lol... is there any tutorial out there on where I can see the steps on what to change to do this FULL client version change.. or could anyone give any pointers.. Try using the SEARCH on the forum, but didn't find anything..thanks

Ok then, so the point here is there is no way of finding out how to do this up to day in a tutorial or something? so only people that already know this MET will be able to do it??....c'omon people, couln't someone teach us how to do this??

tfs 0.3 will have 8.3 compatible? Meanwhile please make tfs 0.2 compatile with 8.3 please talaturen
