A lil solution for DDOS? Check thread

Hello,

I have found a url with some nice information to protect the server against ddos.
But it might be wrong, so if there are people in otland that have knowlegde about such things, could u tell us, the otlanders that needs an ddos protection if this tutorial is good.

The iptables part is nothing we haven't seen here on OtLand before, and the lighttpd config part is only useful if you're under an attack where the attackers are downloading your images or other big files over and over again, in attempt to deny your service by eating up all your upstream bandwidth (which isn't the case very often).
